Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. As a work-from-home mom with a lifelong passion for animals, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable care throughout the day. I plan my schedule around the pets in my care to ensure they receive the attention, exercise, feeding, medications, and companionship they need. Because I work from home, I am able to accommodate morning, midday, evening, and weekend visits for many clients. Caring for animals isn't something I squeeze into my schedule—it's a part of my everyday life. Between my background in veterinary medicine, years of pet sitting experience, and caring for my own animals, I am accustomed to monitoring health, maintaining routines, and providing individualized care for a wide variety of pets. Whether it's a quick drop-in visit, caring for a senior pet that needs medication, or boarding a bird, rabbit, or reptile in my home, I make sure each pet receives consistent, attentive care and plenty of love.

For drop-in visits, I care for pets in their own home where they are most comfortable and can maintain their normal routine. During each visit, I provide fresh food and water, potty breaks, litter box cleaning, medication administration if needed, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. I also keep an eye on your pet's overall health and behavior and will send updates and photos so you can relax knowing they're doing well. For birds, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals boarding in my home, I provide a quiet, safe environment away from household stress. I follow your pet's normal feeding schedule, care instructions, and any special requirements they may have. I understand that exotic pets often have unique needs, and my veterinary background allows me to confidently care for a variety of species. Cleanliness, proper husbandry, and close observation are priorities to ensure your pet stays healthy and comfortable during their stay. Whether caring for pets in your home or mine, I treat every animal as if they were my own and strive to provide dependable, compassionate care that gives pet owners peace of mind while they're away.
Information Nathalie N. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their routine, personality, and any special needs they may have. Important information includes feeding schedules, medications, allergies, medical conditions, exercise requirements, favorite activities, fears or anxieties, and any behavioral quirks. For dogs, I like to know how they interact with other people and animals, whether they have any triggers, and their usual potty and exercise routine. For cats, I appreciate knowing their hiding spots, favorite toys, and how social they are with visitors. For birds, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals, detailed care instructions are especially important. Information about diet, habitat requirements, handling preferences, temperature and humidity needs, lighting schedules, and any special care requirements helps ensure I can provide the best possible care. The more information you share, the better I can keep your pet comfortable, safe, and happy while you're away. My goal is to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible and provide a stress-free experience for both you and your pet.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor activities to their age, energy level, personality, and what they enjoy most. For dogs, that may include walks, fetch, tug-of-war, backyard playtime, enrichment games, treats and training reinforcement, or simply spending quality time together. For senior dogs, it may be a slower walk, extra affection, and companionship. For cats, I enjoy interactive play with wand toys, laser toys, treat puzzles, brushing, and giving them attention on their terms. Some cats love to play, while others are happiest with a quiet lap to sit on and someone to keep them company. For birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, and other small animals, I focus on enrichment, social interaction, and activities that are appropriate for their species and comfort level. This may include supervised out-of-cage time, handling (if they enjoy it), foraging activities, and providing a calm, enriching environment. Most importantly, I make sure every pet receives plenty of love, attention, and positive interaction so they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you're away.

Pet care experience
As a lifelong animal lover with over 20 years of experience in the veterinary field, including roles as a Kennel Technician, Veterinary Technician, and Receptionist, caring for animals isn't just my job—it's my passion. I currently offer drop-in visits for dogs, cats, and other household pets, as well as boarding in my home for select small animals and exotics, including birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, and other pocket pets. Because of my veterinary background, I am comfortable caring for pets with special needs and administering medications, including oral medications and subcutaneous injections. My goal is to provide dependable, stress-free care while keeping your pet's routine as normal as possible. Whether your pet needs feeding, fresh water, exercise, playtime, litter box cleaning, cage maintenance, medication administration, or simply companionship while you're away, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I understand that every pet is unique. Some want endless playtime, while others prefer quiet companionship and a consistent routine. During each visit, I make sure your pet receives personalized care tailored to their individual needs and personality. In addition to my veterinary experience, I have years of experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, chickens, ducks, and other farm and exotic pets. I have also worked in animal rescue and foster care, helping animals transition into loving homes. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust. Reliability, communication, and your pet's safety are always my top priorities. You'll receive updates and photos during visits so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
