Pet care is a major part of my daily and weekly routine! I run my own professional pet care business, so caring for animals is something I’ve intentionally built my schedule around. I’m used to planning my days around pets’ individual routines, including morning and evening visits, walks, feeding schedules, medication, playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I carefully manage my bookings so I can give each client the time and attention they deserve rather than overbooking myself. My schedule also gives me flexibility to accommodate different routines and pets who may need a little extra patience or consistency.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in their home, I do my best to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. I follow each pet’s feeding, potty, walking, medication, and bedtime routines closely and make sure they receive plenty of attention and enrichment throughout my visit. I’m respectful of every client’s home and treat it as I would my own. I’m careful about security, cleanliness, and leaving things the way I found them. Most importantly, I meet pets where they’re at. Some pets want to play and be constantly engaged, while others need space and a slower approach. I’m especially comfortable working with shy or sensitive pets and never force interaction before they’re ready.
Information Natasha S. would like to know about your pet
The more I know about your pet, the better I can care for them! Before a booking, I’d love to know about their normal routine, personality, likes and dislikes, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, and any quirks or behaviors I should be aware of. Please also let me know about anything that could affect their safety or comfort—such as fear triggers, reactivity, separation anxiety, escape tendencies, handling sensitivities, or interactions with other animals or people. And don’t worry if your pet has a few quirks! I’ve worked with all kinds of personalities and would much rather have too much information than not enough. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, understood, and comfortable while you’re away. A quick note about travel: I’m based in The Dalles and primarily serve the Columbia River Gorge. Depending on your location, an additional travel fee may apply. I’ll always confirm any applicable travel fee with you before booking.
A typical day
I tailor activities to each pet’s personality, energy level, and preferences! Walks, sniffaris, fetch, tug, training games, enrichment puzzles, interactive play, or simply relaxing together are all possibilities. For cats, I love wand toys, chasing games, enrichment, and giving them opportunities to explore. Sometimes the best activity is simply keeping a pet company and giving them the attention they enjoy. For house sitting: Overnight care is generally 9 PM–7 AM, with daytime care based on your pets’ needs. Pets are typically not left alone for more than about 4 hours at a time. Daytime care generally includes up to 3 care periods, with visits lasting 45–60+ minutes depending on the pets. House sitting is not 24/7 supervision, and I may leave during the day for errands or other scheduled pet-care appointments. If your pets need someone home nearly all day, please let me know when requesting a booking so we can discuss an appropriate arrangement.

Experienced Fear-Free Pet Care
Pet care experience
I’m a professional pet care provider with 8+ years of hands-on experience working with animals. My background includes professional pet sitting, working as a technician with a reputable dog training company, and working with animals in a local animal-care setting. Through my experience, I’ve cared for dogs and cats with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, needs, and quirks—including shy, sensitive, fearful, and high-energy pets. I’m comfortable with everything from everyday routines and enrichment to medication administration and following detailed care instructions. I believe great pet care is about more than simply checking boxes. I take the time to understand each pet as an individual and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their people are away.
Reviews

Natasha was amazing. Great at communication and taking good care of our energetic dogs.

Natasha came as scheduled for drop in visits and gave good care to our kitty.

Trustworthy and reliable

Natasha was incredibly prompt with her response which I couldn't be more grateful for because it was last minute that we needed a sitter. Great updates and of course adorable photos. She was even kind enough to bring a package in for us that was out on the porch!
