Pet care experience
My parents bought our first puppy when I was 3 years old. My father traveled a lot for work so my mom decided on a protective breed: Rottweiler. My parents continued to own 2 or 3 Rottweiliers at a time while I was growing up so for the last 23 years I have been surrounded by these huge, playful pups. I have always loved dogs and for about a year was a very active foster member at PAWS. During that time I took care of dogs ranging from three 4 week old puppies (for 8 weeks) to older dogs up to 8 years old. I have experience with both trained and very untrained dogs. I recently moved to Santa Barbara and, as I'm working a flexible remote schedule, I have plenty of time to explore the city with your pet!

In my home dogs are allowed on the furniture and on the bed but not in the bed. We have a park across the street and a field a few minutes walk away where I will take your dog if they're staying with me. We also have a fenced in patio where they can lounge in the sun during the day. When staying in a client's home I will always abide by the owner's instructions on where the animals like to play and where they sleep. I am more than happy to take dogs to on or off leash parks (depending on the owner's comfort level and dog's recall abilities).
Information Natasha M. would like to know about your pet
Before booking I would like to know if your dog has any quirks such as a fear of hats, wheels, children, etc. Are there any species of dogs they love to play with or don't tend to like? Also, I have a lot of experience with pets who have separation anxiety. Let me know if your pup might have some anxiety and I'll plan our schedule accordingly! Lastly, some dogs listen to their owners off leash but not strangers. Let me know if this has been an issue and I'll make sure to keep them in fenced in areas only.
A typical day
As I am new to the Santa Barbara area I want to see everything! I am now familiar with multiple hiking trails and dog parks and will bring your dog to whichever areas they are most comfortable. One of my favorite quicker hikes is Inspiration Trail and I enjoy taking dogs to Hendry's Beach to run around. I always take them for longer morning and evening outings. If they are elderly or young I can also do a walk/potty break during the day.

Availability
I'm currently working remotely with a flexible schedule so I have plenty of time during the day for visits and walks. If your dog likes to have a friend I can bring my super sweet 25 pound pug mix along as well!
