Safety, trust & environment

In the case of boarding with me - my house itself is pet friendly and spacious. I have a fenced back yard as well as a wide open few acre front yard. My dogs often enjoy the freedom of the front yard loose or accompanied by a long-line - still free to run but great recall is not required. In the case of the dog staying in the clients home or doing a drop in visit - I would follow any and all provided instructions and requests. I choose to follow a routine the dog is used to. In case of dog walking - I opt for on leash walking first. If a good relationship is established between dog, owner, and I, and the dog has a good recall, I do take dogs for off leash hikes.

Information Natasha H. would like to know about your pet

If you dog has any food sensitivities, behaviour quirks or concerns. If your dog is comfortable in a crate or if they are easily trusted to be unattended loose in the house. Any possible problematic things your pet may do - chew furniture, climb on counters etc.

A typical day

Our typical day always includes a walk! If weather permits we go down to the lake or we stick to a long trail or a hike. Lots a sniffing new smells and moving/running around are the two things we get a lot of. We play fetch, do commands with treat reward sessions, or anything else the dogs are into!

Pet care experience

I have always enjoyed being around dogs and I consider it a privilege to care for them. I have experience with all ages and sizes - from puppies who need crate or house training to seniors who need medications administered. I worked in a dog care facility for several years and I have a pet first aid certificate. I have 2 large dogs of my own whom love to go on off leash hikes as well as on leash trail walks.

Natasha is an amazing animal lover and care giver! Our pittie pup absolutely loves her. Natasha is patient, caring, and goes above and beyond in the care of our girl. I would absolutely recommend Natasha when you’re looking for someone to look after your dog like you do! Whether it’s a fun hike or an overnight stay.

I highly recommend Natasha! She is so good with my dog Lou (4yr old German Shepherd) who is a good boy but definitely has his quirks and she works with him exactly as he needs. Lou also loves playing with Smalls and Maddux and comes home exhausted after an outing with everyone!
