Pet care experience

Housewife, with time to play

Hello, I’m Natasha. I’ve had a pet dog throughout my entire life. I have two kids that both adore dogs, my son is 7 and my daughter is 4. We definitely try to make every dog feel like they’re a part of the family. I truly adore canines because they epitomize loyalty and devotion, and they provide a love that is so genuine –– it’s impossible not to love them back! I’ve had Pitbulls and Mastiffs as pets as well as a Min-Pin named Ethyl. They were all lap dogs –– so loving, happy, playful, and very obedient. I volunteer at the Dallas SPCA animal shelter a few times a year. I also worked at a dog kennel for a few years as a porter / kennel supervisor. I have been pet sitting for friends and neighbors for almost 20 years. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so my availability for pet sitting is open and flexible. I do require that we do a meet and greet before the first booking just to make sure my littles and your pup are compatible!! I’m a compassionate, nurturing, and enthusiastic person. Dogs need to feel a connection with the person who cares for them. For house sitting i always try to leave it better then i found it as my dad would have said. I can also bring in mail and anything else you may need

Natasha and her family so warmly welcomed our dog into their home! She had a lovely long weekend stay with them and was clearly loved. Communication was very easy and we enjoyed the photos and videos Natasha sent throughout the visit. We'd happily board our dog with Natasha again!

I cannot recommend Natasha and would not leave my dogs with her again. We had a meet-and-greet before the stay, and Natasha had the opportunity to meet our dogs and discuss their behavior. We specifically discussed our German Shepherd being excitable and jumping initially, and Natasha told us her young children were very accustomed to being around Rover dogs. Once the stay began, her communications became increasingly hostile and unprofessional. She asked whether our dogs were “deaf or just defiant,” described their behavior and shedding/scratching as “disgusting and frustrating,” complained extensively about them, and ultimately demanded that someone come get them before the scheduled end of the booking. She also reported that the dogs damaged items in her yard. We did not refuse to address legitimate damage, but she suggested that we compensate her through the tip at the end of the stay. The situation escalated to the point that we contacted Rover and had to arrange for another sitter to take our dogs for the remainder of the reservation while we were out of town. To be clear, I am not alleging that Natasha physically harmed our dogs. My concern is how quickly the situation deteriorated and the level of anger and frustration expressed toward animals entrusted to her care. A professional sitter should be able to communicate behavioral concerns calmly and work constructively with an owner, particularly after meeting the dogs beforehand. Having to involve Rover and transfer our dogs to another sitter in the middle of a trip was extremely stressful and is not an experience I would want another pet owner to have.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets just like i care for my children. We walk we play we eat we nap if they need a time away i can crate them if that what they normally like. Any little tiny details i can follow with ease

A typical day

When I look after your pooch, I’ll play with them a lot –– tug-of-war, fetch, or whatever they prefer. If your pet just wants to cuddle, I’ll let them be close to me and offer lots of belly rubs and ear scratches. I have a really big apartment complex, so I will walk them around the community here and then take them to the dog park. My baby and I will make your pet feel right at home during their stay with us. I make myself available and flexible to the needs of my human clients. I’ll follow their normal schedule and treat your pup with compassion and kindness. I always make sure to keep an open line of communication with my clients. If you have any questions or need to request a change, I’m here to help.

I love all feline and canine breeds, but I’m partial to bully breeds. I’ve had three in my life, and they’ve unequivocally been the sweetest pups ever. I’m open to sitting for any type of dog, though. I’d like to know if your pooch is aggressive or whether they’ve been socialized. Do they have any food allergies? Are they able to go on long walks? Are they known to run off? What is their feeding and potty schedule?
