Dog sitting and walks in North Bristol

I grew up with dogs; two golden retrievers for the majority of my life, and a cavalier King Charles spaniel during my childhood. Since moving to Bristol in January to start a midwifery course at UWE, I have missed the company of dogs around the house. Running through our back garden is the river Frome, offering a lovely and quiet place to swim and walk. Either myself or my partner will be home at all times to care for (and cuddle!) your dog. We love long walks, and my partner will take any opportunity to go for a run with a dog, should your dog enjoy a run!

I would highly recommend Natacsha. Bobzo absolutely loved his time away as could be seen from the regular updated that Natacsha took the tome to send. Bonzo is a rescue puppy so we were worried about leaving him but instantly we were put at ease. 100% will be booking for any future stays.

Schedule

I spend three days a week either in the maternity unit on placement, or in lectures, and at home the other four days of the week. The days that I am working, my partner is home, so one of us will always be around. We like to go for a morning (6-8am) and evening (5-7pm) walk when dog sitting, particularly in the summer, to avoid the heat.

Safety, trust & environment

We live in a one bedroom flat in Winterbourne with a small fenced in private garden and a large communal garden that backs onto the Frome river. We tend to let dogs into the small fenced in garden to go to the toilet, and take them into the large communal garden to play during the day.

A typical day

We’ll go for a morning walk around a nearby park, have a lick mat or similar for mental stimulation during the day, and a longer afternoon walk through the woods or by the river.

Is your dog toilet trained - unfortunately I can’t accommodate dogs who aren’t toilet trained! How many walks does your dog need a day? Is your dog particularly scared of anything (e.g. birds, noises, etc.)? Is there anything your dog doesn’t like (e.g. touching their ears)? Is your dog on a special diet?
