I'm great with keeping dogs calm or entertained and kitties fed, safe, and petted on demand while making sure they know they're the boss. I'm most experienced with special needs/elderly cats, including administering oral/topical cat medications and subcutaneous injections. Bonus: I've never met a cat who won't eventually trust me to trim its claws (courtesy service - upon request only). I currently have an FIV+ shelter vet who refused to take no for an answer. He seamlessly inserted himself into the family and is practically inseparable with my three-year-old human child. I've also foster-adopted a heartworm-positive Husky and traveled the country and internationally via car/plane with my emotional support cat. I also have several years of experience with guinea pigs and rabbits.

Safety, trust & environment
I have an FIV+ cat who stays indoors. If you aren’t familiar with FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), it is not communicable to dogs or humans, and cannot be transferred to cats by sharing litter boxes or food/water dishes (only through deep bite wounds or intercourse). Out of an abundance of caution, I prefer not to host any cats in my home but I’m happy to come to you! :)

Schedule
I live in St. Louis but mostly work from home. Aside from a few events here or there, I’m fairly flexible. My toddler often travels with me to other cities for work and is gentle with all animals, but I personally trust cats more around children. Generally, I would prefer not to bring my child along unless we are out of town and it details are discussed beforehand.
