Pet care experience

Paws, Play, & Peace of Mind

Animals have been part of my life since childhood—I've cared for both dogs, cats, and everything in between, learning to understand their unique personalities and needs. I have experience administering medications, including pills and even insulin shots for a diabetic cat. For the past five years, I’ve volunteered with the North Valley Animal Disaster Group, helping evacuate and care for animals during emergencies. That work taught me how to stay calm under pressure and provide comfort to pets in stressful situations. Whether your pet needs playful attention or gentle medical care, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for.

Natalie is a gem. We came home to happy cats! She did a wonderful job of taking care of our 2 cats, kept us informed daily and sent pictures. She even took care of the neighborhood outside cat that comes by when hungry. I would not hesitate to book Natalie again.

Natalie stayed with our dog and two cats while we were away for a few days. Everything went great! When our dog started having some tummy issues, Natalie communicated with us immediately and went the extra mile to make sure our dog was taken care of and comfortable. Would highly recommend Natalie! :)

Natalie was awesome with Ginger! Ginger is a recent rescue dog who is still a bit nervous around new people. Natalie did a great job taking care of her, making her feel safe and secure, and showing her lots of love and patience.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I work from home on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, which means I’m available during the day to give your pet plenty of attention—whether that’s walks, playtime, feedings, or just keeping them company. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, I work in the office but still offer evening, and overnight care as needed. I am available most weekends unless I am out of town or have an event planned ahead of time. I’m committed to keeping your pets safe, loved, and comfortable every day, and I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s routine as closely as possible.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for your pets in your home, I will follow their usual routine as closely as possible—from feeding and walking schedules to their favorite spots to nap or play. I give lots of affection and attention, and I always keep their space tidy, respecting the home and making sure their comfort comes first. If they need medications or special care, I’m confident and gentle, making sure they feel safe every step of the way. I also send regular updates with photos, so you can relax knowing your furry friend is happy and well cared for.

Pets

A typical day

Whether it’s playing fetch, going on enriching sniff walks, or keeping a curious cat entertained with feather toys and laser pointers, I love making each day special for the pets I care for. I tailor activities to their energy level and personality—so high-energy pups get plenty of action, while senior pets enjoy gentle strolls and cozy cuddle time. For cats, I mix interactive play with window-watching and treat hunts to keep their minds engaged. I also can brush your pet to build trust and keep them feeling pampered. No matter the activity, I focus on making pets feel loved, stimulated, and happy—and I always share updates so you can enjoy their adventures too!

Natalie can host up to 1 pet per night
Before caring for a pet, I like to learn as much as I can about their personality, preferences, and routine. I would ask about feeding times, walking schedules, nap spots, and any quirks that make them feel most at ease. I also make sure to understand any medical needs—like medications, allergies, or special diets—and how they’re most comfortably administered. If a pet has behavioral considerations, such as reactivity, separation anxiety, or off-limit areas, I take those seriously and adjust my approach. I respect the household’s rules and aim to keep the pet's environment clean, cozy, and consistent. Regular updates are key too, so I clarify how often and how the pet parent prefers to stay in touch. All of this helps me provide care that’s not just reliable but truly comforting for the animal.
