Safety, trust & environment

Me, my husband Rory and our 7kg Dachshund mix Kenzie live in a spacious first-floor apartment in Vienna's second district, between Augarten and Prater Park. Our apartment has a 20ft private and secure outdoor space where my dog (and yours!) can enjoy sunbathing, toilet breaks and stimulation exercises when we're not outside of the apartment on an adventure. There is also a lift in the building if stairs are difficult for your dog. Less than 1 minute walk from my front door is our nearest fenced Hundezone where dogs can play and sniff off-lead. There is another Hundezone less than 5 minutes walk away so they're very accessible to us! Inside the apartment, dogs are welcome to relax and sleep on our big sofa, our bed or choose from a selection of plush beds, fluffy blankets and soft pillows -- the choice is theirs! If your dog stays in my apartment, we will follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding times and bed times. I can also administer any medications as required. Your dog will benefit from full roam of the apartment, and if there are multiple dogs staying, they can easily be separated should there be any issues. All of my services include: Positive reinforcement including treats, adhering to any dietary requirements Sending you pictures of your dog along with updates Lots of cuddles and snuggles (if they want them!) Of course, everything can be customised to suit your dog's requirements and needs. If you have any special requests, just let me know!

Information Natalie Rosamund G. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any particular dietary requirements as well as their favourite snacks so I can be well stocked! Please also let me know if your dog has any triggers or anxieties, for example, big dogs or cars. Please let me know if there are any particular behaviours you are working on, so I can help reinforce these through more training. Or anything you would like me to avoid encouraging (such as jumping on the sofa). Finally, feel free to give me anything you think will help make them feel comfortable and safe for their first few stays with me, such as their own blankets and toys or your own jumper so they have a familiar scent of home. I keep a note of everything the dogs come with so you'll be sure to get it all back!

A typical day

On weekdays, I will do a dog walk for at least 30 minutes early in the morning or later in the evenings in summer, as it can be too hot for dogs to go out in the middle of the day. When it's cooler, on weekdays, I take dogs on a 30+ minute walks at lunchtime in Augarten, which is a 10 minute walk from my house. In Augarten, there is one of the many fenced Hundezones in my local area, where dogs are guaranteed some off-leash time. On the weekend, I take the U-bahn with the dogs to go on bigger adventures to lush green spaces like Prater Park, the Donau Insel or Donau Park. For dogs that are up for even bigger adventures, we can take the train into the countryside to do a full hike. But of course, for smaller dogs whose legs get tired, there is a nice park and a little woods less than 5 minutes from my front door with two fenced Hundezones which allow for a slightly shorter (but still very stimulating) adventure. After our walks, I take the dogs back home for a snack and some rest. After lunch, I will give them some love and attention on the sofa or in their beds (if this is something they want!). After an afternoon nap, I will allow time for some play and socialisation in the fenced Hundezone right outside my front door. I will also use this time to practice some obedience training and tricks with them, and let the dogs burn off any extra energy they have left over from our big walk. Throughout the whole day, dogs have full access to my 20ft private and secure outdoor space for sniffing, playing, toileting and sunbathing. There is lots of space for higher energy dogs to get stimulation, while leaving space for the quieter, calmer dogs to chill out. Then, home for dinner and cuddles on the sofa! Whatever adventures we get up to, big or small, near home or far away, I would love for your dog(s) to join in!

Pet care experience

Hello! I'm Nattie, a Masters-educated British expat living in Vienna, with my rescue dog Kenzie. I moved to Vienna in October 2025 after living in Scotland for 10 years. OVERVIEW • Extensive experience with anxious, reactive and rescue dogs • Positive reinforcement practices only • Located between Augarten and Prater Park • <1 minute walk to closest fenced Hundezone • 20ft secure and private outdoor space • Small, female, neutered resident dog • Child-free and smoke-free home • Native English speaker with B1 German proficiency WHAT I OFFER • Dog walks, dog sitting and day care, either in my home or yours • Discounted rates for multiple dogs • Fully tailored services to suit your dog's needs • Feeding and administering medication as per your dog's requirements • And more! MORE INFO: My background is in digital marketing and social media but I no longer work in the corporate world - I prefer dogs to people! I was a regular dog walker and carer in the UK before moving here, and I am currently offering a discounted rate on all services while I build my client list here. Kenzie is a 4 year old Dachshund-Chihuahua mix (I think!) who I rescued from Serbia in 2023. She is very gentle, loving, quiet and kind. She was very anxious and nervous when she came to me, but through training and lots of positive reinforcement I have helped her become more confident and enjoy life. Because of this, I am well-versed in dog psychology and body language, and specialise in building confidence in anxious dogs with patience, compassion and plenty of treats. Before Kenzie, I have lived my whole life with dogs. I grew up on a farm with Collies and Kelpies who had lots and lots of energy and needed constant stimulation. I also regularly care for and help train my parents' Dachshund who is very reactive. Thanks to my varied experience, I am able to care for all sorts of unique dogs. Please message me if you have any questions about the services and care I can offer your dog!

We have a very lively and somewhat chaotic Silken Windhound named Luka, but that didn't put Nattie off at all! She was incredibly patient and understanding with him and helped him calm down when meeting new people. The two of them developed a really lovely bond, and Luka thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her.

I am very satisfied with the care Nattie provided for my dog Bertie. He can be scared of large vans and lorries, and Nattie worked with him very patiently to improve this. Bertie always received loving and reliable care from Nattie. I really appreciated the regular updates and photos. It's clear that Nattie really has a love for dogs. We'll be back!
