Cosy family home to look after your baby
Hi there! Thanks for considering me to look after your pets! To help you decide whether I’d be right for you, here is some background information: I live with my Partner Dave who helps with all the bookings that I get. We are very comfortable with walking and playing with dogs, feeding them and understanding when they need something. With two of us it’s also much easier to make sure your animals are properly cared for (especially with bookings of more than one). We live in a terraced house where we have access to a small but fully enclosed garden. We then have access to plenty of dog parks where we live for a long walk off leash (if comfortable to let them off). We will often also go up to Leckhampton hill/ Cleeve hill for a good run around. I’ve created an Instagram account so that you can keep up with your puppies adventures whilst you are away! Search on Instagram to make sure you don’t miss out on any pictures! - natalie_rover

Winnie had such a lovely time staying with Natalie and her family. Natalie kept us up to date and sent pictures for us to see how she was getting on and Winnie looked really happy and settled there right from the start. She was walked regularly and very much part of the family. We would highly recommend Natalie.

Molly was taken care of wonderfully today by Natalie. She kept me updated throughout with lovely photos. Natalie was also very kind to walk Molly to meet me at the end of my busy day. I really appreciated the great care and communication

Natalie and her husband treated our girl Rainie like family. Rainie isn't a healthy hound, she's an elderly Saluki, and had a front leg amputation as a puppy, her remaining limbs are therefore rather higher mileage than they should be and starting to be a problem for her. Natalie and her husband seemed fine about her differences, and weren't put off by the possibility of her falling and needing to be carried occasionally. She's 30kg, so not small. Another reason I choose Natalie is pets are allowed on the furniture... There was one Rover Host closer to my home, and cheaper, but they didn't allow dogs upstairs. Since we rescued her, and I taught her to climb stairs after the amputation, she's always been allowed upstairs. She likes to shadow her humans, especially children, who she wants to parent. Natalie not only let her on the furniture but let her roll about on the duvet with her legs in the air, it was white bedding and Rainie is a pale ginger colour, who is constantly moulting.... She definitely made extra housework for them, but they never even mentioned it. She's been home a couple of days now, and she's happy, but she clearly misses Natalie and her young family, she was sulking so I asked Rainie several questions, which she gives me a positive, or negative response (or sometimes just ignores me asking), and I know Rainie is missing their young child. Whilst we were away and they were caring for Rainie I got messages about her watching over their sleeping baby, laying next to the cot during nap time, so it's not a suprise she's missing them a bit. A lot of new parents wouldn't allow such a big dog near a baby, and I am so grateful they did, as Rainie had a "job" for the week she was there. Whilst Rainie sulking because she misses the baby is a bit sad, it's also a dam fine review, Rainie would absolutely love to go back to them. She is a very caring, but often needy dog, she can't walk far, and instead prefers trips out in the car. One day I received photos of a family picnic, they'd driven her to a big local park with a pond, and she was watching ducks, and treated like family. That showed me Natalie and her husband absolutely listened and respected what I said when I met them a week before I went away. If she walks far, her hip may dislocate, and she'll definitely feel pain the day after. She might look alright on small walks, but I know how our gorgeous girl has slowed down in the last few months, so I'm grateful they listened and didn't push her limits. There is literally NOTHING I can fault them for. I was scared to leave her with people I didn't know yet, but Rainie is a good judge of character, and after the initial meeting I asked if she wanted to go back to them and got a positive response, and the same thing after her stay. (I normally take her away with us, but we were going abroad and I was worried she'd not cope with the quarantine kenneling, she also couldn't have done the amount of walking we did when we were at Spa Francochamps race track.)

Natalie and her partner took good care of Basil

Uma was very well looked after by Natalie. She was very attentive to my senior dog's needs and provided an excellent loving and personalized care while I was overseas. Natalie sent me regular updates with photos and videos and it was obvious that Uma was happy and enjoying her stay. Thank you, Natalie!!

Natalie’s looked after Nala for a little while and were always so happy with everything. We trust nala has the greatest time always

Schedule
Please note I am currently on maternity leave with our newest member of the family - Evelyn. Any pets we have in our home must be comfortable and known to be safe with babies / young children. Being on maternity leave does however mean I do not need to travel into an office, so I am available at home with your pups.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Any pets in our home will be cared for in the same way I’d care for my own. They will have plenty of cuddles and play times and we will make sure we listen to any instructions that you provide us during a meet and greet. I love dog photography as well, so if you want me to take some photos of your pets let me know! Some example photos on my profile.
A typical day
We love going on long walks up Leckhampton hill or Cleeve hill and explore the area. We also love to take the dogs out wherever we go whether this is to the pub or for a walk into town (provided this is ok with you and the dogs are ok socially).
- Cats0 to 7 kg7 to 18 kg18 to 45 kgover 45 kgNatalie can host up to 2 pets per night
- Let me know if your dog has any particular behaviours you want us to work on or stick to. We are quite relaxed at home and allow the dogs on the bed / sofa… if you don’t want this just let us know! Please also let us know if your dog has any nervousness around other dogs so we can be aware of this on dog walks / if we are out and about.
