Doggy Get-Away.Vacation resort!!!

Welcome to Doggy Getaway! We’re a dog-loving family of five, and pups are truly part of the family in our home. Over the years, we’ve shared our lives with our beloved dogs Lulu and Toby, who are now watching over us from the rainbow bridge. Losing them was incredibly difficult, but the love and joy your dogs bring into our lives has helped us heal—and for that, we’re so grateful. When your dog stays with us, they become one of our own. We’re known to spoil our pups with lots of love, attention, and playtime. Whether it’s zoomies in the yard, neighborhood walks, or snuggles inside, your dog will feel right at home. What We Offer: • A large, fenced-in yard with plenty of room to run and play • Trips to local parks for extra fun and enrichment • A cozy, homey environment with lots of attention and affection All breeds and sizes are welcome here—no dog is ever turned away! A Little About Me: I live in the apartment above my parents’ house, just steps away from work, so I’m never far from home. I work short shifts nearby, and when I’m not home, my parents (who are just as dog-obsessed as I am) are there to give your pup all the love and attention they need. We tag-team care to make sure your dog is always safe, happy, and comfortable. I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, from neighborhood pups to friends’ and family members’ dogs. I’m also comfortable administering oral medications if needed. Every dog who stays with us gets treated like family—because that’s exactly what they are. Just because you’re on vacation doesn’t mean your dog can’t be too! We’d love to welcome your furry friend into our home-away-from-home.

Another wonderful weekend with Natalie. Trevor hears her name and can’t wait to be with her. It’s great for us to know that he loves spending time with her and her family.

Natalie was amazing with our dog Rocket! She made him feel comfortable and sent us regular picture updates, which we really appreciated. Rocket was happy and well cared for—we’ll definitely book with her again!

Schedule

I am currently working right up the block from my house in an office. I work short days between 4-5 hours. I always make sure I’m close to home when hosting your pup! If I’m not home, I have my parents either come up to my place or I bring my crew down to them so they won’t have to be alone.

Safety, trust & environment

Your Dog’s Comfort & Safety Come First I know that leaving your dog with someone new can be a little nerve-wracking—that’s why I do everything I can to make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and right at home from the moment they arrive. Here’s how I care for the dogs staying with us: • Meet & Greet: I always recommend a quick meet-and-greet before your dog’s stay so they can get familiar with me, the space, and the smells—it makes drop-off day so much easier and less stressful for them. • Safe Introductions: If there are other dogs staying with us, I introduce them slowly and calmly in a controlled, neutral space to make sure everyone gets along and feels comfortable. • Constant Supervision: Either I or my parents are always home or just steps away. Your dog will never be left alone for long. • Personalized Care: I follow your dog’s routine as closely as possible—feeding times, walks, bedtime rituals, whatever helps them feel secure. • Quiet Space: If your dog ever needs a break or quiet time, I have cozy, quiet areas where they can relax without being disturbed. • Gentle & Positive: I use positive reinforcement and lots of love—no loud voices, no harsh discipline. Just patience, play, and praise. My goal is to make your dog feel like they’re on their own little vacation—safe, happy, and totally at ease.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks I have a park right down the block but across the street there is this area of just grass that takes up the block too that all the neighborhood dogs go to run, play, and handle their business. I would walk him down the streets in my neighborhood as well. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will either sleep on the couch, dog bed, or even my bed if they want! Toby sleeps with me every night so I have no problem with dogs sleeping on my bed. Time I'll spend with your dog I do not have a life. These dogs will be my life so I will be with them all the time when I am home. I do work 3-5 hour days but during that time there is always someone home who is willing to watch them.

Important Things to Know Before Your Dog’s Stay To give your pup the best care possible, I like to gather a few important details ahead of time. Every dog is different, and the more I know, the more I can make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and comfortable. Here’s what I’ll ask about before their stay: • Routine: Feeding schedule, potty breaks, walk times, bedtime—anything you do at home, I’ll do my best to follow here. • Personality: Are they shy? Super playful? A little anxious? I want to know their vibe so I can help them feel at ease. • Socialization: How do they do with other dogs? Are they used to being around other pups, or do they prefer solo time? • Health & Medications: Any allergies, current medications, past injuries, or medical needs? • Triggers or fears: Are they scared of loud noises, new people, certain sounds? I want to avoid anything that might stress them out. • Crate habits (if any): Do they sleep in a crate, use one during the day, or prefer open spaces? • Commands they know: Sit, stay, come, leave it—knowing what your dog understands helps me communicate clearly with them. If there’s anything else you think I should know—quirks, comfort items, favorite toys—I’m all ears! My goal is to make this stay feel just like home (or even better).
