The Ultimate Country Retreat for your Best Friend

I have loved and cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, and they have always been a huge part of my life. I have bred and lovingly home-reared my own Sprocker puppies, giving me hands-on experience with dogs from their very earliest days. I live on a 500-acre organic farm, offering an exceptional environment where dogs can enjoy long, enriching walks across open countryside, safely away from traffic and busy roads. With miles of farmland to explore, every walk is a chance for exercise, stimulation, and pure enjoyment. Dogs staying with me are welcomed into my home, not kept in kennels, and are encouraged to settle in, relax, and feel cosy and comfortable while away from their usual surroundings. My aim is for every dog to feel safe, happy, and truly at home during their stay.

Schedule

Formerly trained as a nurse, I value fitness, wellbeing, and a calm, structured routine — something dogs thrive on too. Working from home on the farm allows me to give the dogs my full attention throughout the day. Each morning starts with a relaxed hour-long walk across the farmland, followed by breakfast. After their walk and meal, dogs can settle down to rest, enjoy cosy downtime, or take part in gentle play and plenty of cuddles. The day finishes with another enjoyable afternoon walk, allowing dogs to stretch their legs and explore once more. Evenings are all about comfort and companionship, with snuggles, cuddles, and time spent relaxing together before bedtime.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Dogs are cared for in my home, not in kennels, and are welcomed into a calm, secure, and loving environment where they are treated as part of the family. Living on a 500-acre organic farm provides a unique and enriching setting, with plenty of space for exercise while remaining safely away from traffic and busy roads. All walks take place across private farmland, and dogs are supervised at all times when outdoors. I take time to understand each dog’s individual needs, routines, and preferences to ensure continuity from home to stay. Feeding schedules, exercise levels, and any special requirements are followed closely. With a background in nursing, I am attentive, responsible, and confident in monitoring wellbeing and recognising any changes in behaviour or health. Dogs are never left unattended for long periods, as I work from home. My home is clean, secure, and dog-friendly, offering plenty of cosy spaces to relax, sleep, and feel at ease. Trust, care, and clear communication are central to everything I do, giving owners peace of mind while their dog enjoys a safe and happy stay.

A typical day

Life on an organic working farm offers a rich variety of sights, sounds, and smells, providing natural mental and physical stimulation throughout the day. Dogs are encouraged to explore their surroundings, keeping them engaged and curious in a safe, calm environment. Throughout the day, I spend plenty of time interacting with the dogs through supervised play with a range of toys, gentle games, and lots of countryside walks, ensuring each dog enjoys a balanced mix of exercise, enrichment, and relaxed downtime.

My dogs, Misty and Summer, have no additional needs and are calm, friendly, and well socialised. They are used to sharing both their home and daily walks with other dogs and genuinely enjoy the company of new canine friends. They play an important role in helping visiting dogs settle in, providing gentle companionship and a familiar pack environment. Their relaxed nature helps create a calm, balanced atmosphere where new dogs can feel comfortable, confident, and at ease during their stay.
