Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule during the weekdays and full availability on weekends. I currently work full time during the week, but I’m able to leave on breaks and also accommodate early morning visits, walks, feedings, and check-ins. My weekends are completely open, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pets in my care. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so making sure pets are happy, comfortable, and well cared for easily fits into my lifestyle.

I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise and playtime, and receive lots of attention and affection. I also pay close attention to their behavior and needs to ensure they are happy and stress-free while their owners are away. I have experience handling animals with different personalities and energy levels, so I’m patient and adaptable with each pet. Before caring for a pet, I think it’s very important to know their routine, personality, energy level, and any special needs they may have. I like to know feeding schedules, potty routines, favorite activities, medications, allergies, fears, triggers, and how they typically behave around people or other animals. I also appreciate knowing any training commands they respond to and what helps them feel most comfortable.
A typical day
I love keeping pets active, happy, and mentally stimulated while they’re in my care! Depending on each pet’s personality and energy level, I enjoy doing activities like walks, playtime, fetch, tug-of-war, outdoor time, and interactive games. I also love giving pets lots of attention, cuddles, and companionship so they feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. For more active dogs, I can incorporate longer walks, light training reinforcement, and play sessions to help burn energy in a fun and healthy way. For calmer or older pets, I focus more on gentle interaction, relaxation, and making sure they feel safe and cared for. I always adapt activities to each pet’s needs to make sure they have a fun, stress-free experience.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up on a farm caring for many different types of animals, which taught me responsibility, patience, and how to understand each animal’s unique personality and needs. Over the years, I’ve also trained several of my own dogs, giving me experience with basic obedience, routines, and handling pets with different energy levels and temperaments. In addition, I’ve pet sat for friends and family many times, caring for pets as if they were my own by providing plenty of love, attention, exercise, and dependable care. I’m passionate about creating a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for every pet I meet.
