Very experienced pet care professional- both with pet sitting and in the veterinary field. I've loved animals more than anything for as long as I can remember and knew from a young age that I wanted to work with them. I've been working in veterinary specialty/emergency for the last 21 years. My role in the veterinary field has been a unique one, creating the "doctor's assistant" position in emergency/various specialties. This has left me with a wealth of knowledge in nearly all medical conditions, and in turn I am able to avoid preventable emergencies and care for special needs pets. There has even been instances where I have noticed the early signs of medical conditions before pet parents, guiding them towards next steps in care. I currently work remotely for a veterinary surgeon, which means I have the incredibly rare opportunity in the vet field of being able to spend lots of time at home with your pets. Just as importantly, I have a real knack for calming pets and making them feel comfortable. I have such a huge toolkit from working with animals in such a stressful environment for so long, but I also bring a calm/warm energy and I think they can just tell how much I love them. My best friend jokingly calls me Snow White because I’ll have any pet in a puddle in my lap in no time. So in the end, not only can you rest assured that your pet will be safe while you’re gone, but they’ll certainly get lots of love. As a bonus I've been told I take excellent pet portraits, and you'll always get a big daily batch of cute photos so you can get your fix while you're away without your trip being interrupted too often. Lastly - I don’t take it lightly that our homes are our sanctuary. I feel very honored that people trust me with the lives of their beloved pets and their homes. I will always treat your space as if it were my own and try to make it as refreshed as possible for when you get home.
