If a pet is staying in my home, they may also meet my 5-year-old sister. She is very gentle, calm, and loving around animals, and has grown up understanding the importance of treating pets with kindness and respect. She knows that some pets enjoy attention while others need their own space, and she is very good at recognising those boundaries. She loves spending time with friendly pets, whether that means quietly sitting with them, playing gently, or simply keeping them company. However, she always follows instructions and understands that the pet’s comfort comes first. This means visiting pets can enjoy a calm, family-friendly environment with plenty of love and attention if they choose to interact. However, Whether I am caring for pets in my own home or in a pet owner’s home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and specific needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, exercise, medication, grooming, and any other requirements. I also make sure pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship, while respecting their individual personalities and boundaries. For cats, this may mean providing a calm environment and gentle interaction, while for dogs it could involve walks, games, and lots of affection. I keep living spaces clean and tidy, ensure fresh water is always available, and monitor pets closely for any changes in behaviour or wellbeing. Since I currently have a flexible schedule, I can dedicate plenty of time to the pets in my care, helping them feel relaxed and secure while their owners are away. My goal is always to treat every pet as if they were my own and give owners complete confidence that their beloved companion is in caring and responsible hands.
