Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. I walk my own service dog, Psyche, multiple times a day and ensure she stays on a structured routine. This includes regular walks, feeding, and mental stimulation. My experience with Psyche’s training and care has taught me the importance of consistency and attention to detail, which I apply to every dog I care for. Whether it's daily walks, feeding, or giving extra attention to a dog’s specific needs, I make sure to provide dedicated time to ensure each pet is happy and well taken care of.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in my home, I ensure they have a comfortable and safe environment. I offer a secure balcony area where they can enjoy fresh air and a peaceful spot to relax. For more active time, I have access to a well-maintained fenced dog park on the property, providing plenty of space for private play time for dogs who prefer to roam freely. Inside, I prioritize creating a calm and cozy atmosphere, with structured playtime, feeding routines, and lots of attention to each pet's individual needs. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I focus on making sure the pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for.
Information Naomi J. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, I would like to know: - **Dietary requirements and feeding schedule**: Any food allergies or specific types of food they should avoid. - **Medical conditions**: Whether the pet needs medications or has any health concerns. - **Behavioral traits**: Are they shy or anxious around new people or other pets? Any triggers like loud noises or separation anxiety? - **Exercise needs**: How much activity they require to stay healthy and happy. - **Likes and dislikes**: Favorite toys, activities, or places, as well as things that may scare or annoy them. - **Routines**: Knowing their daily habits helps maintain consistency and comfort.
A typical day
A typical day as a pet sitter begins early in the morning with feeding the dogs, followed by walks or playtime to ensure they get enough exercise. During the day, I would offer check-ins to provide attention and meet any special needs, like giving medication or keeping the pets engaged. Depending on the owner’s routine, the day might include more walks, training sessions, and even a trip to a nearby park for some outdoor fun. I keep a close eye on the pets to make sure they are comfortable, safe, and entertained throughout the day. In the evening, I make sure to offer a final walk or play session, followed by dinner, and provide comforting attention if the pet needs it to wind down before the day ends. Throughout the day, I would also make sure to send updates and photos to the pet’s owner to reassure them that their pets are being well cared for. The fun activities depend on the pets' energy levels and interests. For dogs, I love taking them on nature walks or playing a game of fetch in a safe area. If the pet enjoys socializing, a visit to a dog park is another option. Indoor activities can include hide and seek, using interactive toys, or practicing new tricks to mentally engage them.

Reviews

Great with dog.

Naomi is wonderful!! We have two anxious dogs, one of them a rescue, and she put them at ease and took excellent care of them. When they met it was like they’d already known each other! Naomi is kind, professional, and helped me to enjoy the trip away rather than worrying about the dogs!!

Naomi has been working with our Corgi, Biscuit. So far biscuit has learned many commands and there’s more to come. She provides good feedback and helpful homework and responds quick and is flexible with meetings. It’s been a pleasure working with her. Now Biscuit has a little brother, Teddy, and we look forward working with Naomi to get Teddy up to speed 😁
