Availability
Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, especially while I’m home for the summer and have a more open schedule. I plan my days around my availability (11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays) and make sure I have enough time to give each pet the attention, care, and playtime they need. Whether it's feeding, grooming, or just keeping a cat company, I treat it like a priority not a side task. I also stay flexible so I can adjust to each pet’s unique routine and needs.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize creating a calm and familiar environment by following the pet’s routine as closely as possible. I pay close attention to body language and other cues to understand how the pet is feeling, and I give them the space or affection they need based on their comfort level. I know that trust takes time, especially with animals, and I’m always patient, gentle, and respectful of their boundaries. My goal is to make each pet feel safe, seen, and cared for while their family is away.

Health: Medical conditions or special care needs. Comfort: Favorite toys, blankets, or spots. House Rules: Areas they can/can’t access. Emergency Info: Vet contact and emergency contacts. A typical day
For the pets I watch, I make sure to provide a variety of fun and engaging activities based on their personality and energy level. For cats, I’ll use interactive toys like feather wands, laser pointers, or balls to keep them active and entertained. For more energetic pets, I’ll go on walks, play fetch, or have a mini play session to burn off some energy. I also make time for quiet activities like snuggles, brushing, or just sitting with them to build trust and offer comfort. My goal is to keep each pet happy, engaged, and relaxed while they’re in my care!

Pet care experience
Hi! I’m a college student home for the summer with 4–5 years of experience caring for pets. Friends and family have trusted me to feed, bathe, walk, and love their animals like my own. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with all kinds of pets. Thank you for considering me to care for your amazing companion!
