Country Setting Get away!
I am first and foremost a fur mom of 20+ years! I live in the country where it is quiet and relaxing. I enjoy walking with dogs and just being around them. I have experience with elder dogs, since I had a 15 year old Australian Shepherd who has recently passed on. I currently have an 11 year old Australian Shepherd Nadine (who is a rescue) and Poncho who is 10 (who else is a rescue.). Dog hair is my glitter, (I never have a shortage of glitter). I am very flexible and willing to work with your schedule. I am an open book. I do have cats and no human kids (those would be my fur kids) Please ask me questions. I am first and fur-most a fur mom of 20+ years!! I live in the country where it is quiet and relaxing. We go to bed to the noises of nature! I live with my fiance (who helps me out so much!) who has recently moved here to the country! He helps me out with walks and playing with the dogs and pretty much everything! My love for elderly dogs came from my very first dog Tiger who I raised from a puppy to the time she crossed the rainbow bridge. From there on, I fell in love with elderly dogs and rescues! Why else would I claim dog hair as my glitter! LOL! One thing you need to know before booking me: I have 2 special needs cats (one who is diabetic and one who is in renal failure.). At times, I may need to bring them with me. It won’t happen a lot, but if my fiancee is out of town, I need them to come with me. They are very good with dogs and other cats. They keep to themselves and are very good with other animals. Please ask questions! I am an open book. Please ask me questions. No questions is too small to ask. I look forward to meeting my new furry friend(s) and you!!

Nancy took great care of our senior dog while we were in the area for a few days, but couldn't have pets with us where we were staying. I appreciated the frequent communication and lots of pictures Nancy shared ❤️
Nancy went above and beyond! She noticed right away when he got sick and immediately made a vet appointment. She got everything he needed. She kept him very active and socialized him with other dogs.
Gave great advice for a sick pup and was able to take my visit very last minute and work with my schedule. Thanks!

Schedule
I am working full time in Walker and Naytahwaush, MN. I am open on a regular basis after 5p.m. during the week. My weekends are more flexible, but I will do my best to fit around yours. ***⚠️Please a couple notes!⚠️! 1. If you live more than 30 miles away from Akeley, I'm going to have to ask for some gas money!! It ain't cheap to drive some days! **** 2. If you requesting me to house sit, please note due to having a couple cats with health needs (one is diabetic and the other is in renal failure), I need to bring my cats with me. My dogs need to come as well because remember, this is country area and it doesn't pay to drive back and forth three-four times a day to let my dogs out and feed them.

A typical day
I like walking first and foremost. In winter its a little harder, but I at least get two walks in a day. I like taking car rides (my dogs do too) as well to go see the sites. I like playing fetch, go to the local dog park with dogs and keeping them busy!
