Lifelong Dog/Horse Owner
I have trained and cared for my own dogs, both small and large breeds, all of my life. As a volunteer at animal shelters here in the Bay Area and in Austin, I have learned to manage and adapt to varied—and sometimes difficult—dog personalities, temperaments, and needs. I am also very comfortable with large animals, having owned and trained my own horses for decades. As a retired journalist and journalism professor, I bring trustworthiness, reliability, and excellent communication to animal care. I can provide walks, engaging playtime, comfort for anxious animals, and administration of simple medications. Please note: While I am an expert animal caretaker, I am new to the Rover platform.
