I have unique decades long experience in caring for and raising dogs and cats, pet sitting and house sitting. I enjoy working with puppies and understand the importance of structure, repetition, and the consistency required for healthy development. I have a medical background I bring over 30 years of experience in pet sitting with supportive, responsible, attentive care and confidence in handling urgent situations. i’ve fostered trained and raised both therapy and service dogs. I have extensive experience with poodle mixes and with a solid understanding of their temperaments, energy, intelligence, and social behaviors. I specialize in multi-pet households and give each appropriate attention that they require while maintaining balance. I also care for senior dogs and pets with specific care needs and medication and equipment needs. I’m experienced in high-level, detail-oriented households where I provide attentive,, reliable care with a focus on integrity, and a discreet, seemless care of your home and pets while you are away or out for the evening. I specialize in well-mannered, manageable pets and structured households, and I’m not the right fit for aggressive dogs or those that are difficult to handle on leash.

I provide private, in-your-home care for clients who value a calm, well-managed environment and a high level of responsibility and trust. I work with a limited number of households so I can be fully present, attentive, and respectful of both your pets and your home. My approach is steady, structured, and detail-oriented, focused on maintaining routines, minimizing stress, and ensuring everything remains exactly as it should while you’re away. I follow your house rules and prioritize your home’s security, cleanliness, and consistency at all times. My medical background adds an additional level of awareness and responsibility when it comes to your pet’s well-being. I’m attentive to behavior, surroundings, and any changes in mood or health, and I communicate clearly if anything needs attention. Upon request, I maintain a presence in your home by managing trash, specific lighting routines, and package handling. For longer stays I can tend to plants, meet or admit regularly scheduled staff, cleaners or groundskeepers and/or arrange lawn maintenance.

Nancy is amazing! She took great care of our dogs and was very communicative during the whole process. Our return was delayed by a day and she graciously stayed another day and really saved us. When we got home, the house looked and smelled great. We highly recommend Nancy!

This was my first time using Rover and was a little anxious about leaving my dog in the hands of stranger. Nancy, was wonderful and watched Sadie in my home while I was in New York for 3 days. She sent frequent updates and Sadie was I think was more calm and relaxed then when I boarded her. I will definitely be using Nancy again.

Schedule
Pet care is built into my daily routine and is my primary focus when I’m booked. I structure my day around maintaining each dog’s established schedule — including feeding, walks, rest, and companionship. I am retired and have flexibility to provide the consistent care and routines that your situation needs. This also makes last minute drop ins or overnights available for some clients. I divide my time between the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast and can provide in-home care in both regions.
