Paws & Pals; Pet B&B and In-Home Care is a collaboration of the mother-daughter team, Nancy Grandinetti and her daughter, Jessica Boyd. With a shared, and boundless passion for animal welfare, and 50+ years of animal experience (between the two of us), you can be sure that you are leaving your fur-mily in the best possible hands! Nancy (51yo) began her long history in pet care at age 13, working in her uncle’s veterinary practice. During her time at Glendale Animal Hospital [Glen Ellyn, IL], she volunteered for EVERYTHING, from grooming to medication administration. This was followed shortly by her first “real” job at Save-A-Pet. Thus, began her long history of both jobs and volunteerism in the animal care community. Currently, even though her career has currently led her to sales, Nancy is a registered foster home for CPR Fund Canine Rescue [www.cprfund,com], specializing in difficult to rehabilitate dogs. Due to her work-from-home schedule, Nancy is primarily available for in-home boarding. She’s specifically set up for doggos that prefer to be alone. Jessica (34yo), instilled with her mother’s enthusiasm for animal care, has expanded that passion into equine and farm care. She has worked with a myriad of animals, including wild and exotic species. Presently, she has found her home as a part-time senior barn assistant at Main Stay Therapeutic Riding Farm [www.mainstayfarm,org]. As a homeschooling mother of three, Jessica’s primary services include dog walking, drop-in home visits, and pack-friendly boarding. She specializes in “hard-to-walk” and large-xlarge breeds of ALL ages. So, what services do we offer? Well, here’s a quick list. Don’t see something you need? Message us! Our pet “B&B” package includes regular pasture walks, they will experience horses, pigs, chickens, ducks, and geese (from a safe distance), puppy playtime (if they enjoy it), scheduled mealtimes, regular cuddles, and LOTS of daily pictures, for you and your family to enjoy, while you’re away. Bed sleeper(s)? No problem! Climb aboard little doggy! Kennel trained? No need to bring your own, because we have one of every size! Just bring their favorite travel bed/blanket! Extended stays available upon request. +In-Home Visits (Dog/Cat/Birds/Cage or Tank Dwellers): Don’t want or can’t have your pets leaving home, while you’re away? Need an afternoon check-in and quick potty break? Late night at work or out on the town? We’ve got you covered! An active, fast-paced walk to help burn a little energy. You will also receive a map and timer readout, so you know where your pup’s adventures have taken them! Is your dog a bit of a rude or pushy/pully walker? Are they an XL horse dog that drags people down the road? No worries! We specialize in energetic and XL (sometimes both at once) breeds! 60-minute walks available upon request. +Transportation: Groomer appointment? Vet visit, and you can only get a mid-day spot?
