New to Rover but not new to pet care! I’m a good fit for pets you want to stay comfortable at home with their routine, pets who could use an all day companion (seniors, separation anxiety, etc), “spicy” or “quirky” pets who might have reactivity or issues that need extra attention, patience, and stability, or just easy-going pets who deserve getting spoiled by an Auntie while their parents are out of town!! 💛 What truly sets me apart is my deep understanding of animal behavior. Over the past five years, I've dedicated myself to rehabbing a rescue Akita, which has taught me a great deal about patience, consistency, and training protocols. I'm a quick study and will follow any training or routine you have in place to ensure your pet's well-being. I’ve also been on the board at the local animal shelter, and before that I was a volunteer - so I have experience with a variety of dogs with a variety of unique behaviors. I've had a lifetime of experience with both dogs and cats, and I often hear "wow, my dog doesn't usually like anyone" as I'm showered with head nudges and tail wags. I'm comfortable with all sizes and all ages, from puppies to seniors, and can administer medication as needed with a brief orientation to your pet's specific needs. My own experience as a homeowner and pet owner means I'll treat your house and your furry family with the utmost care, respect, and love.
