I’m practically a dog myself.
I love animals all my life and I had a wire fox terrier for 12 years. I was a Rover user before for years on the pet owner side of the app. Unfortunately, I lost my Oliver to cancer and I am slowly coming out of my grieving. I miss having dogs in my life and would love to take care of yours as my own. I’ve had multiple dogs from when they were puppies and trained and taken care of them to adulthood. My senior dog had special needs with medication and end of life care such as pain management and mobility issues. I understand a lot of work is involved with taking care of senior/ sick pets and have the patience and experience for them. I would love to spend time with your pet while you are away or busy with life things. I hope to make your time away from your pet worry and guilt free!

Schedule
I have mostly early work days (home by 2pm) and will have majority of the day left with your pet. On days that I am available for boarding, I will not be working at all and will be home to spend time with your pet. There may be quick grocery trips or errands to run but no more than 1-2 hrs at a time.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a very pet friendly neighborhood with dog parks (if allowed), the seawall and other cute neighborhoods to sniff and explore. Your pet will be allowed to roam free in my home. Garbages are hidden and washrooms doors will be closed if you are concerned about pups getting into trouble. I’ve always allowed pets on furnitures or wherever they feel comfortable. They can be stressed or scared in new environments so if they need space, I will respect their space until they are ready to interact. They will be leashed on walks at all times, unless otherwise instructed, and will only be taken to fenced dog parks if allowed. I understand the importance of consistency and routine, I will try my best to make your pets stay as least disruptive as possible to their daily routine. Please provide any instructions regarding your pets care (such as: house rules you would like to continue to reinforce, medications, feeding, special needs etc) My dog was on raw food/ home cooked meals all his life so I have plenty of experience with raw feeding. If your dog is on a raw food diet don’t hesitate to talk about it with me first! You don’t always have to find a feeding alternative just because you are away for a few days!
Pets
A typical day
I understand that each dog has their own personality and energy levels. I wake up quite early in the morning so we will go for a quick walk first thing in the AM and have breakfast together. If your dog is more energetic we can throw some balls or go for a longer walk. I use to make up games for my dog to tire him out mentally as well. In the afternoon we can go cafe hopping, have a few pastry crumbs (if allowed) and make friends or if your dog is an introvert we can have a pup cup and make fun of other dogs (jk!) either way we will rule the galaxy together while you are on vacation!
