I’ve had animals in my life for as long as I can remember, from growing up with a cat to horseback riding, owning a horse, helping care for other people’s horses, walking friends’ dogs and having dogs of my own, including a German shepherd and two dachshunds. I currently don’t have pets, which is a big reason I’m signing up for Rover. I miss having animals around and would love to help care for yours. I’m an avid walker and hiker, so getting in my steps with a furry companion sounds wonderful. I’m comfortable with both larger and small dogs, and I also love cats, whether that means cuddling, giving them space or simply making sure they are well cared for. While I’m new to pet sitting through Rover, I’m a responsible, competent and trusted animal lover. Having had my own dogs, I know how much it means to find someone reliable and kind to care for your furry family members while you’re at work or on vacation.

Nadja is hands-down the best possible pet caregiver you could ever hope to find! Her deep, lifelong relationship with horses gives her an incredibly adept, intuitive understanding of animal behavior, which translates beautifully into the way she handles dogs. She looked after our dachshunds—who can be notoriously finicky around new people and other pups—and her calm, assured demeanor completely won them over. Nadja attended to every single detail with patience, giving her time and genuine energy into making sure they felt secure and loved. Our dogs were genuinely happier every time she left, and it was so comforting to know she cared for them exactly as if they were her own.
