Treating Your Dog as One of My Own
I’m a genuine dog lover who has been around dogs for most of my life. Since I was 11 years old, my family has had dogs of all sizes, including a Dalmatian and two Cocker Spaniels. We raised them from puppies, so I have experience caring for young dogs as well as fully grown adults. Our Dalmatian is now 14 years old, which has also given me experience with senior dogs and understanding the importance of slowing down and walking at their pace. I have also looked after friends’ dogs of various breeds and sizes (some of whom are pictured in my profile). I absolutely love dogs and am the sort of person who will happily stop in the street to ask if I can say hello to someone’s dog! I work mainly from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility. As long as I have somewhere to set up my laptop, I can work from most locations. My normal working hours are 9am–5pm, with an hour for lunch, so I’m available for walks during lunch breaks and shorter breaks throughout the day. I am also able to board dogs for the day or overnight. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. I am very careful about keeping track of where dogs are at all times and always make sure doors and gates are securely closed when entering or leaving. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog, and I will care for them as if they were my own.

Nadia has looked after my dog, Mia, many times – both through regular walks (well over 100 now!) and dog sitting at my home. She is very caring and always follows any instructions I give. Mia seems to love her and is always happy to see her, and I can tell she’s content and satisfied after every walk. When dog sitting, Nadia keeps me well updated with plenty of messages and pictures, which I really appreciate. Nadia is an excellent dog sitter to my 11 year old dog. Nadia is professional, caring and attentive. Nadia takes Kiddo, my dog on great walks and Kiddo returns happy and satisfied. When house and dog sitting, Nadia has left the house clean and tidy, just as she found it. I would highly recommend Nadia.

Schedule
My role is mainly remote so can work most places if there is a set up available for my laptop etc. I work 9-5pm and have an hour lunch so I would be able to walk the dog on short breaks and within my lunch hour

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my highest priorities. I understand that trusting someone to care for your pet and enter your home is a big decision, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I am always mindful of where your pet is and take great care to ensure they remain safe and secure at all times. When visiting your home, I am particularly careful when entering and leaving, making sure all doors and gates are properly closed so there is no risk of your pet slipping out. My aim is to provide a calm, safe, and familiar environment where your pet feels comfortable and relaxed while you are away, giving you complete peace of mind.
A typical day
I love being outdoors and going for walks, so I really enjoy taking dogs out around Brighton and Hove. I like exploring a variety of places, from local parks to larger natural areas such as woods and open fields, where dogs can enjoy plenty of exercise and stimulation. Playtime is an important part of keeping dogs happy and engaged, and I enjoy using toys and games to make walks and visits fun and enriching. I have also spent time teaching my own dogs tricks and helping them develop good manners on walks, so I understand the importance of positive reinforcement, consistency, and making each outing both enjoyable and rewarding.

- Please let me know about your dog’s personality, behaviour, and how they interact with other dogs so that I can make sure they are comfortable and well cared for. My family dogs were often quite anxious, so I have experience handling nervous dogs and understand the importance of recognising their triggers and adjusting walks accordingly. If your dog prefers to avoid other dogs or busy areas, I am more than happy to plan quieter routes and walk at a pace that suits them. It is also helpful to know how your dog behaves on walks, including their recall, lead manners, and any particular habits or concerns. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are my top priorities, and I will only take on dogs that I feel confident I can handle safely and responsibly.
