My husband and I both work, but one of us is always home. Our Cobberdog gets a morning and midday walk, plus a longer walk after work where she can really sniff and explore the woods near our home. She loves company, which is what inspired us to open our home to other dogs — whether for the day or overnight.

We treat any dog in our home the same way we treat our own. They join our daily routine — walks, playtime, and training reinforcement if the owner is happy with that. We live in an apartment with good space to play, and we more than make up for it outdoors. We’re close to the woods so there’s always a good walk on offer, and weekends are spent outside as much as possible. Our Cobberdog loves company, so visiting dogs will always have a friendly face from the moment they arrive.

Before confirming a booking, we like to arrange a meet-and-greet so the dogs can get to know each other and make sure they're a good match. We generally prefer to host female dogs, but we're happy to make exceptions for well-matched, easygoing males. Please also let us know in advance about any special needs — special foods, specific routines, anything at all — as we want to keep your dog just as you'd like us to. Just reach out and we'll find a time to introduce everyone!
A typical day
We love keeping dogs both physically and mentally stimulated! We'll play plenty of games, work on fun training and enrichment activities, and sniff out all the new smells around our neighborhood. There's a big park nearby that's perfect for walks and exploring, plus quiet green spaces near Sognsvann for calmer strolls. Your dog will get lots of attention, playtime, and cozy rest in between adventures — a happy balance of fun and relaxation throughout the day.

I’ve been a dog owner for many years, having raised a Westie in Mexico when I was younger and recently my husband (Torbjørn) and I welcomed our now 2-year-old Australian Cobberdog into our home together. Dogs have always been a central part of my life — not just something I fit into the day, but something I genuinely build my day around. We’re lucky to live close to the woods, so long walks and outdoor adventures are a regular part of our routine. We believe a good walk does wonders for a dog’s mind and body, and we love nothing more than exploring trails with a happy dog in tow. But it’s not all about exercise — playtime is just as important to us, and we put real value on training too. We believe a well-stimulated dog is a happy dog, and we take time to reinforce good behaviour with patience and consistency. Whether your dog loves to run, play, or learn — or all three — they’ll feel right at home with us.
