I’ve been caring for dogs, cats, and horses for 9 years, so I’m very comfortable understanding animal behavior and adjusting my care to each individual pet. I have experience with puppies, elderly dogs, energetic dogs, strong pullers, and dogs who can be reactive or aggressive toward other dogs. I also have experience with training and reinforcing good behaviors, so I’m comfortable maintaining routines and boundaries while making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I understand that every animal is different, and I take the time to learn their personality, routine, and specific needs. Schedule
Pet care fits really naturally into my daily routine. I’m a student, but I only have a couple of classes each week, so I’m able to be home full-time for most of the week. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and companionship rather than leaving them alone for long periods of time. I’m also very flexible with my schedule and can easily adjust my routine around a pet’s feeding, walking, medication, or other needs. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so being home with them doesn’t feel like a job, it’s something I love doing!

My home is a comfortable and pet-friendly environment where your pet can feel safe and relaxed. I live on a quiet street in a well-lit, spacious two-bedroom apartment, and my home is completely smoke-free. I’m also within walking distance of a park and dog park, which makes it easy to give dogs plenty of exercise and outdoor time. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they have a clean, comfortable space, lots of attention, and plenty of opportunities for walks and play. When staying in a client’s home, I treat their home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’m happy to follow their usual routines and make sure their pets feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment.
A typical day
A typical day with me is all about making sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I like to keep their routine as close to normal as possible while adding plenty of fun and attention throughout the day. In the morning, I’ll start with breakfast, fresh water, and some playtime or a nice walk to help them get their energy out. If they enjoy being outside, we can take a walk around the neighborhood or spend some time at a nearby park or dog park. I also love playing games like fetch, tug-of-war, or letting them sniff and explore at their own pace. During the day, we can have some relaxed time together, whether that means cuddling on the couch, playing with their favorite toys, practicing simple tricks, or just keeping them company while I work or study. For pets who prefer a quieter day, I’m just as happy to let them relax and feel comfortable in their own space. In the afternoon or evening, we’ll get some more exercise and enrichment. Depending on the pet, this could be another walk, more playtime, exploring a new area, or spending time outside. I always pay attention to their personality and energy level so they get the kind of attention they actually enjoy. Before bedtime, I’ll make sure they have food and fresh water, get one last bathroom break or walk, and have plenty of cuddles and attention before settling down for the night. My goal is for every pet I watch to feel like they’re having their own little vacation while their owners are away!

- Before caring for your dog, I like to know as much as possible about their individual needs and routine so I can provide the best care while you’re away. Please let me know about any medical conditions, medications, allergies, dietary restrictions, or special needs your dog has, including how and when medications or treatments need to be given. I’d also love to know about their normal eating, walking, bathroom, and sleeping schedule, as well as any behaviors or sensitivities I should be aware of. This includes things like anxiety, separation anxiety, fear of loud noises, reactivity toward other dogs or people, or anything else that may make them uncomfortable. It’s also helpful to know their favorite toys, treats, activities, and ways they like to be comforted, along with anything they should avoid. Please provide any important veterinary information and emergency contacts before your stay. Every dog is different, and I want to make sure I understand what makes your pet feel safe, happy, and comfortable. The more I know about your dog’s routine and personality, the more I can make their time with me feel like home.
