FULL-TIME AT HOME CARE

FULL-TIME AT HOME CANINE CARE FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND WHILE YOU ARE AWAY. NO UP-CHARGE FOR HOLIDAYS! BOOK NOW! New Rover clients may use my one-time promo code for $20 off their first booking. Please use the promotion link https://www.rover.com/sit/myral3 to activate the $20 off. I am SW of Hickory in Burke county. Convenient to I40 Exit 119, HWY 70, and HWY 321. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION AND FAQ: OUTDOOR ACTIVITY: 6' high fenced yard for off-leash exercise and play. Our safe neighborhood has dead-end streets to take brisk walks with your dog. Our neighbor allows us to take relaxing walks in his field and around his barn. Dogs love it! I call it our Sniffer Walk. Usually, their noses are to the ground the whole time! I try to find what type of play the pet likes and concentrate on activities that engage the pet mentally and physically. I study how they play with their toys and include those in simple games that involve movement and problem-solving. INDOOR ENVIRONMENT: Environmentally controlled area in the basement with HVAC for comfort. Crates provided for safety during the time I am with another dog or during feeding and sleeping time. There is a sitting area to provide cuddling, playing or just hanging out together. RATES, BILLING AND BOOKING: $30 per day or night. Rates are the same for daytime only, overnight boarding, holidays, and long stays. Pickup day is prorated according to your scheduled times. Requesting extra nights to be added to your stay while you are away (extended stays*) will be billed in addition to the original payment. * You will be messaged by Rover to confirm the extra nights added and must confirm. Please see the note below for clarification. NOTE: Extending a stay: *Please be aware, if you extend your pet's stay beyond the original reserved dates while you are away, you will be charged for the extra days at the same rate above. I will extend the stay through the Rover system, and your card that is on file with Rover will be charged for the added days. You must confirm paying the additional charges through Rover. If unpaid, I will not be able to care for your pet on a future request until the payment due is resolved. * CANCELLATION POLICY: Once you book a stay, you have reserved space and services for your dog. In doing so, your reservation causes a decrease in the room available for other pet owners who may need boarding services. If you anticipate a cancellation, please do so promptly to ensure you are refunded per the cancellation policy and free up my calendar for other dog owners. My cancellation policy is set to SAME DAY but is subject to change. If you do not meet the deadline to cancel, Rover will not refund or may only give a partial refund per the cancellation policy. You will receive a full refund if you cancel before the booking begins. If you cancel after the booking begins, you will receive a 50% refund for the first 7 days of the booking, and a 100% refund for any days after that. FAQ: HOW DO WE START THE BOARDING PROCESS? You must agree to a Meet & Greet appointment, talk by phone or communicate by message. We can discuss in-depth, their habits and needs which help me provide customized care. IF I BOOK, WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? Dogs must be on a leash with a well-fitting collar or harness, more than enough food, treats, and any comfort items you feel the dog needs such as their clean bed, blanket, chews and toys. I have plenty of stainless bowls unless you use a specialty bowl like a slow feeder. I also have crates. You do not have to put food into separate zip bags for each feeding (your choice). Just provide the food measurement and written instructions for each feeding time. Your dog must be on a flea and tick protection plan. Vaccines: Heartworm prevention is recommended but not required. The following vaccines and a copy of proof are required before a stay: • Distemper/parvo combination: this vaccine protects against several potentially fatal diseases. • Rabies: This disease is fatal for all mammals, including humans. • Bordetella: (kennel cough) this vaccine does not prevent but can reduce the severity of this serious respiratory infection that can lead to pneumonia. WHAT DO I NEED TO COMPLETE ON ROVER? Please enter brief care instructions and emergency information into Rover when you book. I need to know, in writing, allergies, feeding (times a day and amount) and any medication instructions. The more I know about your dog, and its behavior and habits (good or bad) helps me to give better care. You will need to complete the payment process and don't forget to use the promo code link for new clients to save $20! DO YOU TAKE PUPPIES? No puppies or dogs under one-year-old because all vaccinations are not completed until after one year. Puppies need elevated care and are not house trained. They take away time from more mature dogs. All dogs must be neutered or spayed. I do not have breed preferences, but 40 lbs. is my weight limit. Larger dogs will be considered. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK? As early as possible! Many owners book months in advance, especially for peak times. I do take short notice (if I have availability), daycare, date night, short or long stays are welcome! WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS? 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. with flexible drop-off and pick-up appointments. Please respect my time and the dogs in my care by confirming a drop-off and pick up appointment time. Please, do not arrive unannounced or without an appointment to avoid canine chaos. I am a full-time at-home dog caregiver. I have a routine schedule throughout the day for the dogs and kennel maintenance. I also need to maintain my home environment, personal appointments and errands. The dog’s schedule usually starts with an early morning potty break with brief outdoor play and feeding those on a morning schedule. I have multiple rotating outings for each dog or group, if compatible with other dogs. Outings could be yard time, porch sitting or walks. The dog yard is 1800 square feet and walks can be road or field. Crate time is when the dog is not with me and during feeding/sleeping.

Myra was such a lifesaver for me and took my Roxy girl right at last minute. Roxy had such a fun time and my mom said she did not want to leave. She took her for walks to the barn and sent really cute pictures. As long as Myra is pet sitting, that’s where Roxy will always go!

Thank you for taking such good care of Willow. It was our first time being away from her and was worried our wild child would be too much to deal with. She is a very busy and very active little pup. Myra sent texts to inform us that Willow was doing good and pictures to ease our worries. I highly recommend Myra and will definitely use her again. Our little girl was happy and taken very good care if.

Myra is great with our dig Alex. She keeps us updated on how he’s doing. We never have to worry about him when we are on vacation. She treats him like family.

A typical day

Yard play depends on the dog. Some dogs just want to sniff and meander around the yard. Others want to play with a ball, Frisbee, tug toys, etc. My neighbor allows us to walk in his field and around the barns. I use a 20 ft leash so they can explore without being restrained. We also hang out inside and have cuddle time for the lap dogs.
