Hi! My name is Mya. I am 25 years old, work full-time for the federal government, and live on my family’s potato farm. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me playing hockey, golfing, hiking, spending time outdoors with my friends, or grabbing a coffee! I’ve grown up surrounded by animals and have over 15 years of experience caring for my own cats and dogs. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets through all stages of life, from the puppy/kitten stage all the way through their senior years. I understand that every stage comes with different needs, and I’m happy to adjust my care to suit each pet. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have 10 years of experience pet sitting for multiple families in my community. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all different ages, breeds, sizes, personalities. I also have experience caring for pets with special medical needs. As a pet owner myself, I know how hard it can be to trust someone with your pet. My goal is to give you peace of mind by treating your pet with the same love, care, and attention that I would want for my own. Whether it’s for a short term or long term stay, I will make sure your pet receives the absolute best care while you are away!

Safety, trust & environment
When staying in your home, I’ll treat it with care and respect. I’ll make sure everything is left clean and exactly as I found it! I’ll tailor my care to your pet’s individual needs and preferences. While I’m at work, I’ll ensure your pet is left in a safe, secure environment and that there are no hazards they could access. As someone who owns a silly cat who’s always looking for an escape route, I’m especially mindful about doors, windows, and home safety! If you’re comfortable with it, my partner may occasionally join me on a booking to provide your pet with some extra love, attention, and playtime. This is always entirely up to you, and I’ll always respect your preferences and any rules you have regarding access to your home.

I can’t recommend Mya enough! She took wonderful care of my cat while I was away on vacation. Throughout my vacation Mya showed that she genuinely cared by keeping me updated. It gave me great peace of mind that I knew my cat was being looked after. When I came home, my cat was happy, comfortable, and well looked after. Mya respected the space, left it very clean, and paid attention to every detail. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!
We highly recommend Mya as a pet sitter! She cared for our senior dog and made sure his needs were met and that he was comfortable during her stay. She kept us informed of how the stay was going and provided us with pictures throughout the week. She also left the house spotless. Would definitely recommend!

Schedule
I live in Albany and work full-time in Charlottetown, so I’m available to care for pets anywhere between those two locations! I work Monday–Friday from 8–4, but am still available for weekday and overnight bookings, provided your pet is comfortable being left alone during my workday. I’m available before and after work and throughout the weekends. If you’re located in Charlottetown, I’m also available for lunchtime drop-in visits during the workweek.
