Professional dog trainer
Dogs have always been apart of my life. I volunteered in a service dog program called 4Paws4Patriots and in doing so I got to learn so much about dog care/handling. Ever since then, dogs have always owned a piece of my heart, I just had to figure out how to follow my passion. Which led me to American k-9 interdiction (AK9I), where I took a 13 week course and became a professional dog trainer. I now have three dogs and own my own dog training business (Big Paws Protection).

Mahalo Mya for watching Aka again! I appreciate your care and knowledge and letting me know when there are behaviors that should be looked at. He had a wonderful time (I can tell from all the photos!), and he slept soundly all through the night.
I can always tell when our pups have had fun. When I picked up Aka (who is high energy), he was tired (went right to sleep in the car) but very happy. Thank you for the photos, Mya, and allowing me to see your set-up at home. I felt confident that he was in excellent, safe, caring hands, and I will definitely use Mya as a dog sitter again.
Mya was great with the dogs, taking them for a walk and playing catch with our frisbee-loving GSD!

Schedule
I have owned a Siberian husky, German Shepard, and an Alaskan Malamute. I currently own a Belgian Malinios. A lot of work have gone into them and still go into them. Caring for dogs can be challenging but I love the work and seeing the dog improving is worth every minute

A typical day
I love getting dogs to work both mentally and physically, one of the ways I like to do that is going on walks while working on obedience. Which helps with everyday training. We are a very active family, we can go on hikes and explore the area. Go on sniffy walks as we like to call them
