Growing up, I was always surrounded by animals—dogs, cats, and plenty of love. To me, a home without pets feels incomplete. I started caring for my family’s three Shih Tzus when I was just 12 years old, tending to them with love and devotion until they lived long, happy lives of 14–16 years. Over the years, we’ve had many dogs, including several requiring senior and hospice care, which taught me the importance of compassion and patience. Now, as an adult and a mom, I’m proud to share my home with three affectionate, adopted Shar-Pei mixes and a spunky Dachshund. They are cherished members of our family who enjoy daily walks, home-cooked meals, and plenty of snuggles. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’m deeply involved in fostering through Shar-Pei Rescue (Pei People). To date, I’ve had the privilege of helping 13 Shar-Peis, from playful puppies to wise seniors, find loving forever homes. Dogs naturally connect with me because I treat them like family—with unconditional love and care. When your dog is in my care, you can trust that they’ll be treated as one of my own. Their safety, comfort, and happiness will always come first, just as I’d expect for my pets when under someone else’s care. Beyond my love for animals, I’m an active person who enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, running, and exploring the outdoors—always with furry companions by my side!
