Ratings and reviews
I understand that in disputes between pet owners and sitters, people often believe the service provider over the client. However, I urge anyone reading this to look at the facts carefully. I am deeply disappointed by the false statements this sitter has made about both myself and my dog, especially given that I have spent hours trying to address genuine welfare concerns through Rover's support. Potential clients should be aware that this sitter is not properly equipped to care for dogs, and using his services is entirely at your own risk. Everything I have stated is factual and truthful, while his claims are either twisted or outright lies. Property Damage Claim: Mustafa claims my dog destroyed window blinds. This is completely false. Throughout the entire 38-day booking, he never once mentioned any property damage to me. If this had actually happened, he should have reported it immediately. He claims he didn't report it "out of the goodness of his heart"—this makes no sense. A professional sitter would document and report damage when it happens, not mention it for the first time weeks later in a revenge review. I know my dog, and this did not happen. He still hasn't provided any proof of this alleged damage. The timing of this claim—appearing only after I raised legitimate concerns—shows it's not true. Ignoring Care Instructions: He claims I said my dog could sleep alone downstairs. This is completely false. I told him multiple times: please crate my dog, please don't leave her alone. These instructions were clear and repeated. He ignored them completely, then blamed me when my dog barked because she was left alone—exactly what I told him not to do. Train Delay: My train was delayed when traveling from the other end of the country. This was completely beyond my control. I told him immediately and he offered to pick me up from the station, which he did. Blaming me for unavoidable travel issues is unreasonable. I have been stranded in Canada due to snow storms for an extra 1 week, and I am having to get my mother to pick my dog up from the sitters, im sure this is going to be an issue by them too. Not like i can control the weather but okay. No Dog Food: For a five-week booking at close to £1,000, providing basic supplies including food is standard. It's not practical to transport 38 days of dog food across the country. When I arrived, he had no dog food at all and actually asked if my dog could eat cat food because he didn't want to get proper food. This alone should concern anyone considering using his services. The Scam Story and Discounted Price: Yes, I did tell him I had been scammed previously, which is exactly why I asked thorough questions before choosing him as a sitter. He's now using this personal information against me. More importantly, he was the one who offered a discounted price—I never asked for it. If he wasn't comfortable with the price, he shouldn't have offered it in the first place. The booking still cost close to £1,000, which is a significant amount of money. For him to then weaponize the amount I paid against me is appalling. His behavior and actions throughout this booking show clearly that he's not in this to care for animals, but purely for greed and money. A genuine animal lover would never withhold welfare updates or ask if a dog can eat cat food. Health Condition Excuse: Mustafa says his restless leg syndrome prevented him from properly caring for my dog. If his medical condition stops him from providing proper care—including having a dog in his room or walking them properly—then he shouldn't be taking bookings at all. This makes me seriously question whether my dog was even walked properly. I have this same condition and manage completely fine. Using a health issue as an excuse for poor service while taking £1,000 is unacceptable. Privacy Violation: He gave my personal phone number to his daughter without my permission, and she contacted me directly. This breaks Rover's privacy rules and shows poor professional boundaries. Withholding Updates: When I asked for updates every three days—which is standard Rover policy for long bookings—he became hostile and started deliberately withholding information about my dog's welfare as punishment. Using my dog's wellbeing as a weapon because he was upset is unacceptable and should disqualify anyone from pet care. Nail Trimming: He acts like my suggestion about trimming my dog's nails was outrageous. I simply noticed from his photos that the nails looked long and suggested he could trim them if comfortable. Many professional sitters consider this part of good care, not an unreasonable demand. This review exists to address his lies and to warn other pet owners. He's glossing over his own terrible behavior while making up false claims about me. Any further responses from this sitter should be ignored—he's already shown he's willing to lie and twist the truth. He has no credibility. I will not be using Rover for any of my pets again because they don't properly verify and check sitters. This experience has shown serious problems with their vetting process that put animals at risk. Do not risk your dog's welfare with this sitter.

I booked in total a 5 week stay for my GSD girl. When i arrived they had NOTHING for this dog. No FOOD. No Blankets. No CRATE. NOTHING. I booked because they said they do this as a full time job. And they have everything she could possibly need. When i arrived they asked where was the dog food. I was in shock, i paid them close to £1,000 and said i told them i would be coming from the other end of the COUNTRY to get to them. He then asked if she could eat CAT food instead.... i wish i was joking. Dead serious he asked if she could eat cat food. A GSD.... Anyway. Despite this, i left Eyela with them and the problems continued. For nearly 2 weeks i realised that i had no updates. I asked where they was as they was supposed to send me updates ever 3 days and there response was "and you was supposed to bring dog food". Oh so your punishing me now... nice. I contacted support, who gave me no updates on what was going to happen about the problem. I have begged for updates ON MY OWN DOG for multiple days and heard nothing. Today i told them to drop her off to a shelter where she will be safer. I am FUMING.

Engin has been amazing with us. Our cat escaped some weeks before our holidays but we yet asked him to come just in case our cat came back. Unfortunately our cat is yet missing but Engin did a wonderful job checking every day and communicating what he was doing. 100% recommended!

Engin was amazing with my German shepherd Kobe. We met first for a meet and greet and I could tell Engin was an animal lover. Kobe made himself at home straight away and I knew he would be comfortable staying there. Kobe stayed with Engin and his wife for 2 nights when I got married. I was nervous about using this service as Kobe had never stayed with anyone other than family, but Engin put my nerves at ease and I was very comfortable leaving Kobe with someone so caring. Engin sent me updates and pictures throughout the stay, and I would definitely recommend him to others and use him again if needed. Overall it was a really positive experience.

Absolutely amazing, mustafa and his wife looked after our 4 month old maltipoo bruce they treated him like there own from day 1 , putting him at ease . We were able to enjoy our holiday knowing how well Bruce was being cared for with daily updates and pictures. Mustafa went above and beyond for Bruce as he was a little anxious as never being left before even feeding him from his hand . I can't thank him enough. 5 star sitter 100%. Thank you

I have a spacious, fenced-in backyard, and I never leave your pets alone — not even in the garden. Safety comes above all else when it comes to your pets.
A typical day
I love spending time with all the animals I care for at home, playing with them, petting them, and even talking to them. Since my garden is spacious, I also enjoy throwing things for them to fetch. In short, they are a part of my life.
