I was a Shiba Inu in a past life.
I wish I could pet every pupper I meet! I know they can sense how much I love them, which makes it easy to form a quick bond. My husband, Shannon, is just as much of a dog lover as I am, and he has a natural way with them. Even people who say, "Don’t worry, she doesn’t like anyone," are surprised at how quickly we become friends with their little lass or lad. Those connections make walking, playing, or sitting together a real joy. While I’m the primary sitter, your fur baby will get double the love and attention when staying with us. We live in a one-bedroom apartment with a courtyard just outside where all the neighborhood dogs play. It’s a great space for outdoor time and socialization, but everyone is also very respectful when a pup is anxious or uncomfortable around other dogs. Shannon and I have seen it all when it comes to dog behavior, so we’re comfortable handling a wide range of needs and personalities. You can count on my keeping your pup’s routine as close to your own care as possible. I love sending lots of photo and video updates because, let’s face it, the cuteness doesn’t stop just because you’re out of town! I know you and your pup will miss each other...I just hope I can keep the whole family happy in the meantime. I can’t wait to meet yours!

Yoda had a great second stay with Moxy! He is a nervous dog but she is always very thoughtful of his needs and sends very cute updates!
Moxy and her husband, Shannon, were absolutely phenomenal sitters for our dog, Magic. He is our baby and we’re extremely cautious about who we leave him with. They carefully followed all instructions, sent multiple updates each day and went above and beyond when Magic developed a medical issue (just a random thing - not their fault in any way). Through it all, their kind and loving personalities shone through. They weren’t just watching him - they truly cared about his health, happiness and wellbeing like he was their own, delighted in playing with him and fulfilled his endless demands for snuggles!! Because of them, we could relax and enjoy our vacation, knowing he was in the best possible hands. What a gift!

Schedule
I work from home full-time so if your pup is staying with me, we'll have lots of cuddle, walk, and scritchy-scratch breaks. If I'm staying at your place during the week, I do have the option to bring my laptop and work from there, but on busy or spreadsheet-heavy days, I do like to be at my usual double-monitor set-up at home. I can plan on midday visits if that's the case and your pup needs them.

I live just off the courtyard for my apartment complex where all the neighborhood dogs come to play so there's plenty of opportunity for outdoor time and socializing if it fits with your pup's style.
A typical day
My petting/scratching skills are unmatched, I love snuggling all night, and I have a lot of patience so I can play fetch all day! I strive to match your care as much as possible.
