Dogs, tropical birds & chinchillas!
I first got into pet sitting when I started watching a friend's dog in college for weeks at a time. The dog was really friendly and well trained so it was a great experience. That lead to my second client, a couple with a variety of animals including dogs, tropical fish, birds, hedgehogs and chinchillas! Several of these pets had special diets which taught me how to tailor my care to each specific pet. I also have experience with caring for dogs coming out of surgery, and assisting them through times of limited mobility. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks, and playing with them (if they are up for it). I believe every pet deserves personalized care and attention. I am working from home M-F so I’m available and flexible most of the time. I am available to spend time with the pet as I work and give them more attention after logging off for the day. Cleanliness is something I always strive for. My goal is to have pet owners return to a nice clean home with relaxed pets every single time.

Schedule
I’m currently working from home M-F and have free time on the weekends. I’m able to house sit or board dogs as I login to work. It has been great for dogs that have a set routine.

Taking care of pets in the clients home is a great responsibility. I ensure that not only their dog is being taken care of, but their home and personal items as well.
A typical day
For dogs being dropped off, they will be walked around several of reston's nature trails along side of several other dog walkers. I live about a mile away from a park for dogs that like extra running.
