My career in the animal field started when I was 16 during that time which I interned at RHSPCA. Graduated as a certified Veterinary assistant at MTC in which I continued my career at cats cradle and Winchester SPCA. I graduated from Blue ridge community college with a Pre vet tech degree in 2023 and am currently a full time veterinary technician in Winchester and have been there for about 3 years and continue to strive being employed there. while also being a mother of special needs twins. My pet’s lay around and are welcome on my furniture they also go outside attached to a harness throughout the day to go to the bathroom and I also take them on walks.

It is such a luxury to have Moriah take care of the cats while we are away. Not just because she does tricksy veterinary procedures for our special needs cat with great calm and ease. Nor just because she is loved by our other cat, who is so shy that some petsitters never see him. No, the real luxury is her photography. Twice a day we get awesome photographs of the cats going through various stages of betrayal. (Abandonment, fear of starvation, learning to trust again, brooding, snuggling, playtime, devotion to Moriah, developing a strong bond as Team Cat while still a bit moody, etc.) They're great photos (our apartment even looks good!) that make us swoon and coo, and give us a sense of the emotional trajectory our cats are on, so we know what to expect when we return home. If you miss your cats, Moriah's photos are the next best thing.

Moriah combines adroit technical expertise with amazing cat whisperer mojo. Our cat Casino needs to use an Aerokat steroid inhaler to control his severe asthma. (Steroid pills have twice given him diabetes.) It took me months to get to the point where Casino would sit beside me and take nine breaths while I held a rubber mask over his face. It’s tricky, and you can’t force it, because if he has an aversive experience, next time he may refuse altogether. Moriah had never used an Aerokat before. Although Moriah uses a similar device with her daughter, and has a lot of veterinary experience, our vet was skeptical, and advised that Moriah come over several times before we left, to learn and practice with Casino. This was not possible. Moriah said to just send her a video showing what Casino and I do with the Aerokat. So we did. Our first night on the road, Moriah sent a video of herself and Casino using the Aerokat PERFECTLY, all 9 breaths!!! In other matters too, she did a great job assessing and handling the situation. I would trust her to look after any special needs animal.
Moriah was wonderful! She was easy to communicate with and flexible. She sent photos each day and made us feel at ease.

Schedule
Most days of the week I am at work but I do drop in visits depending on schedules and depending on if owners are okay with me doing so before work Or after work. I do house sitting request as well if Owners understand that I typically do not do overnight stays I do day sitting with late night visits since I have my own special needs dog and special needs twins at home. Also if I am working I work in Winchester and travel 1 hour to and from work so they days I work I will be doing care before and after that. My prices include the price of my professionalism, my travel cost, and my time.
