Availability
This summer, I have been able to quit my regular night job and become fully available for all of my four legged friends! I regularly bring a group of dogs to the dike on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays and would be happy to have your pooch tag along :)

Safety, trust & environment
Due to my housing situation, I am unable to care for pets in my own home. I have found that most cats and dogs are more comfortable in their own home anyway, so I think this works out! It can be stressful for them to be away from their people, so I think it’s good to stick to their familiar routine in their environment. I’m essentially available 24/7 to care for your pet. I do go to church on Sundays, but I can skip if we need frequent potty breaks. I also believe in letting the pet set the pace for meeting new people and the level of interaction. I know some dogs who mourn their owner’s absence and want the bare minimum of attention, and some who are overjoyed to cuddle and play fetch all day!
Information Moriah R. would like to know about your pet
Before watching your dog, I think it’s important to know of anything that might trigger a negative reaction from them, like a lawn mower or picking them up. I think it’s also important to know their training levels around the house and on the leash, and note any special queues/commands. It’s also good to know how they feel about walking with or by other dogs. I also like to note any allergy or medications.
A typical day
I absolutely love spending time with dogs-especially the cute and furry ones! Lol! :) Each dog has their own favorite activities, whether it’s long walks outside to smell everything, fetch, tug of war, or just cuddling! I love to do whatever the dog wants to do! :)

Pet care experience
Hey there!! I am somewhat new to Jackson (and Rover!) but I’ve been pet sitting since I was about 15! Back home in Michigan, my sister and I worked together and we cared for everything from cats and dogs to baby goats and chinchillas! My family always had dogs growing up, so I would say I’m very familiar with different behavioral signs to watch for. Each pooch is unique! I also understand how it can take some dogs a while to warm up to new faces-I am a former aussie mom, so I have a soft spot for working breeds who can sometimes be a bit wary of strangers! :)
Reviews

Moriah is a great dog sitter. She is calm, attentive, trustworthy, and eager to accommodate in every which way!

We had a great experience with Moriah. She walked Noodles for a full hour and Noodles came back happy, calm, and well-exercised. Communication was easy and reassuring, and we really appreciated the care and pics while we were skiing all day. We’d happily book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind Rover. 🐾

Moriah was awesome! She took great care of our boy, gave him plenty of love and exercise, and sent regular updates with photos. She left our apartment exactly as we left it with her. She even washed the towels that she used. We will definitely contact her again whenever we need a dogsitter/housesitter.

Moriah is wonderful. We are visiting from out of town so I need someone to basically babysit my dog while I leave the house and Moriah was perfect. Great communication, showed up on time, and had wonderful energy for my anxious dog. They got along great, I am so glad I found her. I look forward to booking her again and knowing I have someone I can trust in the Jackson area.
