For dog walks: I always use a leash and walk in a safe neighborhood. I use positive reinforcement and treats (as long as that's okay with their owner).
Information Moriah C. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about any medical needs or behaviors, such as things they may chew on, etc. Please also be very up front about any aggressive behaviors. I also want to know how I can make sure your pet feel as comfortable as possible! Let me know if they get stranger anxiety and if you have any tips to help lessen their anxiety. For dog walking, please let me know any commands they know and also where to find the leash and poop bags. Please let me know if you are okay with me giving them treats, and, if so, where treats are located.
A typical day
For boarding: I have lots of enriching toys that I like to bring to keep their minds stimulated! I have an enclosed court yard at my apartment and like to take them out for walks (if harness trained). It’s completely enclosed very tall, brick wall, so there's no ability for them to escape. I have a ridiculous number of cat toys! And I'm making a "Cat Cove" corner with wall stairs and a bridge. I also have AirTags that I like to put on the pets I care for just in case anyone likes to try to be a little escape artist lol.

Pet care experience
About Me: I have been taking care of and loved animals since I was very little! In fact, for my 10th birthday party, I had an anti-animal cruelty themed birthday party where I made all my friends watch a documentary about animal cruelty and donated some of my birthday money to a local animal charity. I grew up with cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, rabbits…you name it! My parents taught me at an early age the importance of taking care of animals and that pets cannot advocate for themselves, so we need to be their champion and voice. My parents always made sure that we had responsibilities for the animals and learned how to properly care for each pet. We truly treated our animals as part of the family growing up! My dad is absolutely the dad who says "no more pets" and then is obsessed with the pet lol. I adopted my cat Finnegan as a kitten from my local animal shelter in July of 2021. My second cat, Juniper (Juni), was given to me by the “Cat Distribution System.” He showed up at my back door two days before I was supposed to move and was scratching and mowing like a mad man to get in! When I went outside, he immediately started purring and following me around. I said that I was going to find him a home but we both know how that went haha! I truly love animals! I believe that you can trust me with your babies because I wouldn’t want anything but the very best for my own!! All animals should be treated with kindness, respect, and care!

Reviews

Mariah was wonderful! I felt she took extra steps to ensure our cats were well taken care of. Even our shy cats warmed up to her pretty immediately. I will definitely book with her again and recommend her.

Moriah was a great caretaker for our cats. She sent lots of photos and videos, and they seemed so playful and content in her care and we could tell she enjoyed visiting with them as well. Moriah followed our care instructions, completed the care checklist daily, and sent messages with any questions when needed. She even brought her out toys, one of which kittens really LOVED, and she left it for them to keep during her last visit (which we so appreciate).

Moriah did a great job watching my doggies. She was available on short notice and came at the times we agreed on. I would hire her again!

Moriah took great care of my cat while I was away! She gave frequent updates (with lots of great photos and videos) and responded to messages very quickly. She even brought some of her own toys for my cat to play with, which my cat absolutely loved!
