Morgan was terrible. We booked her for an 8am-8pm house sitting shift without 2 dogs. One of our dogs has separation anxiety and is stated as such in her profile that she shouldn’t be left alone. Morgan left 2.5 hours into her shift to get food. She came back and was here for a bit but then left to get dinner with friends leaving my dogs alone again. This time when she left she missed their previously discussed meal time. I happened to get out of work before the booking was done but came home to no one watching my dogs and their food and water bowls were empty. It took Morgan another 45 minutes to return to my apartment. When I questioned her about her actions throughout the day she continued to argue and push the blame back on me. Additionally my neighbor ( who sees our dogs everytime they go out) said they were only let outside 1 time today even though we stated they need to be let out every 2-4 hours. My neighbor also noted that she seemed a bit rough with the way she yanking on their leashes outside. I would never hire Morgan again. This isn’t the only poor experience customers have had with her. Currently seeing what rover will do to make this right but someone like this has no business caring for people’s homes and pets if they are just going to disregard care info at their convenience. If giving zero stars was an option I would have done that. When I reached out to rover for a refund they had me reach out to her first and she refused and continued to pass blame. This is our first negative experience with rover out of many wonderful experiences.

First, this was the first time using Rover and it was a terrifying experience. The sitter met with Samson and it appeared she would be a good fit for the month I was away. But she wanted to be paid weekly, so upon mutual agreement she was supposed to send me a weekly booking. I reminded her and she failed to communicate. I became increasingly concerned when my neighbor would inform me that the dog was crying for hours for three days of the first week stay. After review of security cameras she was gone for longer periods of time than she agreed. I had house sitting services. She was unresponsive for 24hours. After being notified by neighbors that the dogs sounds distressed I called Rovers emergency number. They didn’t respond back to me for two days via email. I had to scrambled to get someone else while away to take care of my dog. She left a mess, she drank a bottle of my wine and had left a mess with alcohol all over the apartment. A case of red claws on the floor and clothing, bedding on the floor. Then she makes an odd remark stating I thought dog only needed to be let out once a day. Who the the world lets a dog out once a day! My dog went 18-19 hours without eating and going out until I got someone else to let him out and care for him because she not Rover where responsive! she should be banned for caring for any dog she can not communicate or be relied on. I will never use this service again. I will also be filing a police report for animal abuse.
