Pet care experience

Medically Trained Pet Lover

I’m a veterinary medicine and agricultural science student looking to take care of animals while their families are away! I have worked in the field for a 2 years at a vet/ grooming/ boarding facility as well as at multiple farms/ stables. Skills I have include being trained to administer medication, helping keep up with training, senior care, as well as training and competing in agility and show with my dogs. In my free time I have taken care of my pets for 14 years, including dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents, and farm animals!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced in yard with a pool that is separated from where the dogs would be playing. I have two very friendly dogs who are crate trained and would easily be able to crate another dog if necessary. I also have four cats who are very tolerant with dogs but they would be able be separated if necessary.

Morgan was wonderful with Bailey this was my first time having someone come in to take care of Bailey for her. When I got home, he seem very peaceful. I so appreciate Morgan's update and will definitely have her again when I go away in the winter.

Morgan was great again! Now my go to sitter when I’m away. When I get home it’s truly as if no one was staying over.

Morgan was great! We have a high energy German Shorthaired Pointer and he absolutely loved Morgan. She was clean and careful and sent us great pictures along the way.

Morgan was an amazing pet sitter and took great care of our cat while we were away. We are both vets and know that we can definitely be “extra” when it comes to being pet parents, but Morgan was very accommodating and made us feel very comfortable during the experience. She sent us update pictures and did well with communication over the whole trip. Henri seemed to really like Morgan too. He can sometimes be a little slow to warm up to people, but he appeared to warm up to Morgan quickly and liked to hang out with her. Since he is a cat with previous FLUTD signs (stress-related urinary issues), we were nervous about this experience, but Morgan did a great job being patient with Henri and making him comfortable and happy. We would definitely recommend Morgan to anyone needing a pet sitter and will definitely use her again in the future.

Let me know if your pet has any sort of medical issue ahead of time, I have no issue taking care of special needs pets! I would just like to know ahead of time so I can block off time to administer medication! I would also like to know what type of medication and how to administer, especially if the dog requires it to be given a certain way (hidden in cheese, on a certain place on body, etc.)
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
