Pet care experience

Safe, Skilled, and Loving Care

I have extensive hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, and livestock. Before joining Rover, I personally cared for over 80 different pets, gaining experience with many personalities, routines, and care needs. As a certified veterinary assistant with over 400 hours of clinical experience, I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring health, and caring for senior or special-needs animals. I’ve worked with young animals, seniors, anxious pets, and high-energy pets, and I always tailor my care to each animal. What sets me apart is my combination of real veterinary knowledge and proven, multi-species pet-sitting experience. I treat every animal as if they were my own and aim to give pet owners complete peace of mind while they’re away.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets by focusing on their comfort, routine, and individual needs, whether they are in my home or in a client’s home. I take time to learn each animal’s preferences, energy level, and daily schedule so they feel safe and settled. In a client’s home, I maintain their normal routine, provide feeding, exercise, enrichment, and companionship, and keep the space clean and respected. I make sure pets get plenty of attention and consistency, especially those who may be shy, anxious, or need extra reassurance. When pets are in my home, I provide a calm, supervised environment with structured routines, enrichment, and plenty of one-on-one care. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and comfort so pets feel relaxed and cared for, just like they would at home.

Schedule

Pet care is a consistent part of my daily routine. As a freshman at the University of Kentucky studying Animal Science, I’m organized with my time and have my own transportation, allowing me to provide reliable and flexible care. I’m available for before-class visits, midday check-ins, and afternoon, evening, and bedtime care. I’m used to balancing school with animal care and make sure every pet receives attentive, dependable care at each visit. Keeping pets on their normal routine is a priority for me, and I always plan around feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and quality time so they feel comfortable and well cared for.

Before caring for a pet, it’s important for me to know their daily routine, feeding schedule, and any medical needs or medications. I also like to learn about their personality, energy level, and any fears or triggers they may have. Knowing how they interact with other animals and people, what commands they know, and their favorite toys or activities helps me provide the best care possible. I also ask about emergency contacts, vet information, and any house rules so I can keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
