Pets are family!
I bring a combination of hands-on experience and compassion to pet care. Growing up, I regularly pet sat for neighbors, family members, and friends, often caring for multiple animals at once and managing different routines and needs. I also have volunteered with the Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF), where I worked with dogs of all ages, including those with socialization challenges. This experience taught me patience and techniques for helping nervous or reactive pets feel safe and comfortable. In addition to caring for cats and dogs, I have experience with various farm animals, which has given me a broad understanding of different animals’ needs and behaviors. Whether it’s providing basic care, maintaining routines, or offering extra attention to pets who need it most, I strive to make each animal feel secure and loved while their owners are away.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping them comfortable by maintaining their usual routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality and needs, whether that means giving extra attention to a shy cat, helping a dog with socialization challenges feel secure, or managing the needs of multiple pets at once. I also make sure their space stays clean and safe, and I provide regular updates to give owners peace of mind while they are away :)

As a full-time medical assistant, I have developed strong time management skills that help me balance my work schedule with pet care responsibilities. My workday typically ends in the late afternoon, which gives me plenty of time in the evenings and on weekends for walks, feedings, and playtime. I am comfortable maintaining structured routines, both in my profession and with animals, so I can easily accommodate pets’ feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special care instructions.

- I like to know everything that will help me make your pet feel safe, happy, and cared for while you are away. This includes their daily routine, favorite activities, and any quirks that make them unique. I always ask about feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any medications or special care instructions. It’s also helpful to know how they do around new people, other animals, and what comforts them if they ever feel nervous. The more I know about your pet, the better I can make their time with me feel just like home.
