I grew up around animals (farm life!) and have basically been owned by cats my entire adult life 😄 Over the past 3 years, I’ve been lucky enough to pet sitting while travelling, so I’ve looked after all sorts of cats and dogs with very different personalities. I’m really good at reading animal body language and have a soft spot for the “shy one”... I’ve managed to win over quite a few nervous pets with patience and calm energy. I work fully remotely, so I can be flexible and present, keeping your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’m also experienced with animals who’ve had a tough past and need extra time, understanding, and trust-building.

I always adapt my care to each pet and their routine, as every animal is different. For drop-ins, I make sure all essentials are covered: feeding, fresh water, litter or toilet needs, and any specific instructions you provide. I also spend quality time with them, whether that’s play, enrichment, or just keeping them company so they don’t feel lonely. For dogs, this includes walks suited to their energy level and personality, as well as mental stimulation through play, basic training, or enrichment activities to keep them engaged and happy. I pay close attention to body language and behaviour, especially with shy or nervous pets, and always let them interact at their own pace. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well looked after while you’re away.

Pet care becomes part of my daily routine rather than something separate. Since I work fully remotely, I’m home and able to plan my day around the pet’s needs, whether that’s feeding times, play sessions, or just keeping them company. I aim to keep their routine as normal as possible so they feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re away.

- I like to understand each pet’s routine and personality in advance so I can keep things as consistent and stress free as possible. It’s helpful to know their feeding schedule, any medical needs, behaviour quirks, and how they typically respond to new people. For cats, I also like to know their litter setup, hiding spots, and whether they are indoor or outdoor. For dogs, details like walking routine, energy level, training cues, and how they are with other dogs or people are really useful. If there are any anxieties, past trauma, or things that might trigger stress, I always appreciate knowing so I can approach them in the best way. I also like to know what they enjoy most, whether that’s play, treats, or just quiet company, so I can make the experience as positive as possible for them.
