The Dog Spot: A+ Care for Canines!
I am an animal lover and a nurturer. I love to share my space with fur babies and provide a clean and safe home away from home. Our fenced yard provides ample space for active games and playtime, our street is lined with mature shade trees and ends in a parklike oasis making it perfect for fine weather strolls and meeting neighbourhood pals!

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We selected this sitter because the profile indicated a non-smoking environment, but there were numerous cigarettes visible at the home, and our dog smelled strongly of cigarette smoke when we picked him up. We also had to wait approximately 30 minutes at pickup because the sitter was not home and we were not informed in advance. When our dog was returned, he was extremely dirty, unusually lethargic, and not acting like himself. We were also concerned about the level of supervision provided, as he appeared to have been left with multiple other dogs. The overall experience did not match the expectations set by the sitter's profile, and we left feeling concerned about the quality of care our dog received.
Monique is the kindest snd sweetest caregiver. Her home and bacyatd were lovely. She was thoughtful about meeting our little dogs and was sure to make them as comfortable as possible. They were a little anxious and would not eat dinner initially so she gave them some treats and fed them by hand. Monique was an excellent communicator and sent pics and updates 3 times for just an overnight. So grateful for her skill and caring which allowed us to enjoy our stay in Niagara Falls free of worry. She let us know there would be 4 other dogs there ahead of time and we decided c o ahead svd schedule. She ensured the greeting was safe and predictable. Big 5 stars.
Monique took such good care of Pumpkin while we were on vacation and sent us regular updates. She was awesome!!
We've left our mini labradoodle, Cookie, in her care a couples now, and each time has been an incredible experience. Monique is very communicative and keeping us aware of Cookie's status, making sure we never ever have to stress about him. It's an added bonus that she has a couple of her own, which gives Cookie a chance to socialize and forget about his separation anxiety. Highly recommended to leave your loved ones in her care if you're in the area!

Monique and Alex are lovely people who clearly love and take great care with pets! My dogs were comfortable and happy, which was clear to me through the pictures and videos of them at Monique’s. Monique is responsive and a clear communicator. She came recommended to me.

I’m currently writing and working from home. I will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I’ll be able to be flexible and attentive to your pup’s needs.

Un día normal
Your dog’s day will start with a family breakfast, your food or mine (home cooked, all natural ingredients and made with quality nutrition in mind). Outdoor active playtime follows in our fenced backyard or we’ll head out for a stroll, perhaps both, weather permitting. We’ll return home for a light snack and a drink of fresh filtered water, then indoor quiet time while I work for a 2 hr. stretch, I’ll likely have Star Trek or Murdoch Mysteries playing in the background for them, until the mood strikes for some praise and worship music. Potty and stretch break for everyone, which means snack time! Back to work until lunch time for a quick caregiver break and some more outdoor active time and back to work! 4PM Dinner time, then outdoor time, or another walk if the schedule permits! Then home time, unless pup is spending the night!
