I've cared for animals my entire life, including dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, and farm animals, and have lived on homesteads where animal care was part of daily life. Before settling in beautiful Brevard, I spent 1.5 years full-time house and pet sitting while traveling. During that time, I completed over 30 assignments with consistently 5-star reviews. That experience instilled the importance of leading with a genuine heart, trustworthiness, good communication, and consistency when caring for someone’s home and beloved pets. I especially enjoy dog walking and in-home pet care. Daily walks are one of my favorite parts of this work - whether in local parks, on trails, or simply around the neighborhood. I also provide attentive drop-in care that helps pets stay comfortable and on routine in their own home, while their owners are away. I appreciate taking the time to understand each pet’s personality, needs, and routines so they feel safe, understood, and well cared for. Whether it’s exercise, companionship, feeding, or simply keeping their day consistent, I aim to provide genuine, attentive care that gives both pets and owners peace of mind. I also have experience caring for senior pets and those who need a gentler pace. For cats, I provide calm, attentive in-home visits that respect each cat’s personality and need for space. I follow their lead and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Please note that my 6-year old does accompany me on dog walks, drop-in visits, and overnights. They are very comfortable with animals and always under my supervision, but please ensure your pets are comfortable with children prior to booking. I view pet and house sitting as a responsibility and privilege. I understand I am caring for what people value and cherish most, and I take that trust seriously. I provide attentive, reliable care and aim to ensure pets are safe, comfortable, and well looked after in a calm and enriching environment. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and care instructions so their day-to-day life remains consistent and familiar while in my care.
Ratings and reviews
Monique did an exceptional job looking after my senior dog, Little Bit. She has to take 4 types of medication twice a day and it can be very challenging to get her to consume the pills. I hide them in several different kinds of food, but it takes a long time and a lot of patience. Monique was able to get her to eat and Litte Bit knew that she was in good kind hands. I hope that I can have Monique look after Little Bit later this fall.
Monique did a great job caring for my two large Great Pyrenees dogs while I traveled. The dogs loved her, and she was excellent in communicating frequently with me about the dogs' care while I was away. It was reassuring to known my dogs were in great hands, and I look forward to hiring Monique again in the future.
Monique is such a special person - she has great communication skills, and listened to what we needed for our quirky dog Rosie. Do not hesitate to use her for sitting she is a gem!!
Monique was fantastic! We were in town for a wedding, and she picked up our service dog from the reception, which was too loud for him. She took him to our rental and gave him a quiet, cozy night. She’s a pro and we knew our dog was in great hands. We’ll definitely arrange to work with Monique again.
Monique was extremely patient and flexible with my senior dog, and provided several updates and photos throughout the day. I will definitely have her care for my pup again!
Monique was great. It was the first 'stay' with her and she was on time, kept me updated on what was happening, sent pics of my little dog, and was respectful of my home and property (something that doesn't always happen with other sitters). I highly recommend Monique as she has a great attitude and truly cares about my pet. When I have the need for someone to say with Boo I'll reach out to her again. Thanks!

Schedule
I’m a homeschooling mother, which gives me a flexible daily rhythm that allows for regular walks and outdoor time. I genuinely enjoy being outside with dogs for walks and/or playtime, and ensuring each pet receives calm, attentive, and loving care. My 6-year-old does accompany me on visits and is always closely supervised and wonderful with animals. Please ensure your pets are comfortable with children prior to booking.
