I will do everything in my power to ensure your cat or dog is never successful should they choose to make a break for the door. I will put away any potentially harmful toys when playtime is over. I know there certainly are exceptions, but dogs can be simpler to befriend than some cats. It's very important to understand a cat's boundaries, and to respect those boundaries. They are not by nature people pleasers, you have to earn their trust. If they do choose to grant you that trust, you must not do anything to break it.
A typical day
If a cat or dog is less than thrilled by interacting with strangers, I never force the issue. I always allow pets their own space and time to warm up to me, if they decide to at all.

I am a certified veterinary technician with 10 years experience working exclusively in feline medicine. I adore kitties! I have lived with them my entire life and being around them truly is my happy place. My background as a vet tech means that I am very comfortable administering any medications your cat or dog may need-be it oral tablets, transdermal medications, injections, or subcutaneous fluids. I also know what to watch for and how to respond if your pet isn't feeling well. I am happy and able to provide nail trimming, Soft Paw application, and general fur combing as requested (and as your cat or dog will tolerate!) I'm currently proudly owned by 3 fabulous felines: Viviane, Daario, and Tiriki. They are my whole world, but they've consented to allow me to meet a few more 4-legged friends.

Monique took great care of my cat Doug while away. He can be skittish of new people and she made sure he was comfortable and loved her by the end!
She did great with my shy cat! He came out with her and hung out. Great communication and pictures!
We used Monique for a 5-day stay at our house. She was quick with responses and good at communicating prior to the actual stay and we felt we had a good meet n greet. When she was watching our dog, we had to request updates everyday and 2 days we did not receive any update. The updates we received were very minimal and untimely, and we came home to our basement being filled with very dried pee and poop. I did reach out to Monique to try and understand what went wrong but have yet to receive a response. Not sure what happened because her reviews indicate people have had excellent experiences with her. We will not be using Monique again based on our unfortunate experience.
