I know how important routines can be for pets, and I'm attentive to behavior changes/moods. I'm always open for fun, or a calm environment depending on individual needs. I love sending photos and updates as well! If care happens to be in my home - I have a large fenced-in yard, safe and loving home, and two children who love animals! I typically only take one pet at a time, unless pets are from the same family- or it has been okayed by all parties to socialize.

I like all kinds of fur babies. They must be kid-friendly and potty-trained if visits will be in my home. If your pet(s) like car rides, I'm more than happy to bring them along if I have a quick errand- feel free to let me know. I can usually arrange to come by your home by myself if being around children isn’t an option.
A typical day
If your pet is high energy, we can play fetch, tug of war, or take a fun walk around the neighborhood or down the Tart trail. I'm usually busy around the home, and love having helpers follow me around! If your pet needs more chill time, I will make sure they have access to a calm area, and/or someone to cuddle with. My front porch is also gated, and provides great shade on a hot day.

I have 13+ years of hands-on dog care experience through long-term ownership and family pet sitting. I have experience with puppies, seniors, small and large breeds. I'm easy-going, friendly, and trustworthy. I'm also a Mother to two fun, and happy children. My husband Elliot and I live on the west side of Traverse City in Elmwood Twshp.

Monika was fantastic! So responsive from the moment we booked and kept us updated throughout Roxie’s whole stay — sent photos and check-ins that put our minds totally at ease. You could tell she genuinely cared for her. Would absolutely book again and recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who actually communicates!
Monika and her family were amazing with Zews!! He had so much fun with them and I did not have to worry at all about him. Monika shared photos during his stay which made me happy seeing how he felt right at home. I definitely hope to be able to have Zews visit Monika and her family again!
Monika was great! She was very responsive, shared updates before heading to our home, and sent lots of pictures during each visit. She was also very flexible when our schedule changed, which we really appreciated. I will definitely book with Monika again in the future and highly recommend her to others!
Monika was amazing for my weekend trip away! This was my dog’s second time being away from family for a trip and she kept all of my anxiety at ease regarding her getting out of the fence or yard. She and her family were diligent in making sure that was never an issue and keeping me posted on our happy girl throughout the trip. She was also very accommodating to our needs :)
