Doggo boarding and walking
(Je parle français aussi) I have a full time job but I love dogs and I’m doing this mostly for fun. I have lived with and taken care of a small, lively dog for about 6 years. I have been dog-sitting on Rover since 2020. I am very patient and caring with dogs, no matter how energetic they are. I am available for evening walks during the week and all day during the weekend. I’ve been working remotely since 2020 so I’m currently able to also have a dog with me during the day. I would of course walk it in the morning, at lunch-time and in the evening. I live very close to Lafontaine Park, which is a good area for walking and has a dog park, if needed. I live in an appartment with a balcony. I occasionally let a dog chill outside with me, but I always supervise in case a neighbourhood cat or squirrel decides to visit. I’m also available for house-sitting, when provided enough notice. I also have no issue taking care of elderly dogs that have special needs or require more attention. —- J’ai un emploi de jour qui m’empêche d’être disponible pour garder un chien dans sa maison, mais je travaille de chez moi depuis 2020 et donc je peux facilement avoir un chien avec moi durant ce temps. Je suis disponible pour garder des chiens à l’extérieur en soirée et en fin de semaine. Je suis très patiente et attentionnée avec les chiens, peu importe leur âge et leur niveau d’énergie. J’habite dans un appartement avec un balcon et pendant l’été je suis souvent là avec les chiens que je garde. Évidemment je surveille et je ne m’éloigne pas, au cas où un chat ou un écureuil déciderait de nous rendre visite. Le Parc Lafontaine est à un coin de rue de chez moi et j’y vais souvent quand j’ai un chien avec moi.

Monica was wonderful with Olive! Olive can be a bit anxious, especially in new situations, but she managed well under Monica’s care. We super appreciated the updates throughout the day as it made us feel completely at ease.

Schedule
During the week I walk the dogs a minimum of three times a day: in the morning, at lunchtime when I would take a walk anyway and in the evening. Durant la semaine je promène le chien un minimum de trois fois par jour: le matin, à midi et en soirée après le travail.

The dogs I walk are always on a leash and I only take them to the dog park if the owners want me to. Les chiens que je promène sont toujours en laisse et le les amène au parc à chiens seulement si le maître est d’accord.
A typical day
If it’s a work day, I will walk the dog at least three times and take it to the dog park as well, provided the owner is okay with it. During the weekend I like to go on very long walks, however, this depends on how reactive the dog is and also on its ability to walk long distances. I always adapt depending on the tremperament of the dog.
