I work remotely from 8-4:30 pm most weekdays, so I’m available to provide attention and fun for your pet most of the day. I usually go to the office on Mondays and Thursdays, but I may be able to accommodate if your pet cannot be alone for 8 hours. I am an active person and would love to take your dog to the park or beach or for walks on trails, if they do well in those settings. If your dog is lower energy, I can match that energy too! I am excellent at following directions and will follow your pets normal schedule.

A typical day
I will give your pet lots of love and attention while you are away. I will adapt to the needs of your dog or cat. If they need more mental stimulation, I love playing games and teaching new tricks, like “find it”. If they need more exercise, I will take your dog on walks on trails and at the park. If your dog likes other dogs, my 32 lb tripod can come along. She loves to run around with other dogs, but doesn’t play rough and prefers sniffing all the great nature smells. If your dog is more timid, shy, or prefers limited exercise, I can do that too.

I am a fish biologist, but love all animals. I am new to Rover, but my friends and coworkers regularly rely on me to care for their pets. I have cared for dogs with special needs, such as epilepsy, senior dogs and puppies. I have done basic dog training courses with my 30 lb tripod dog and volunteered walking dogs at my local shelter. I will treat your furry family member with love and care!

Monica was great! Communicative, cautious, autonomously discerning and I got to relax on my trip away for 6 days :) Most of the time I was out of service, so staying in contact was a little spotty, but all was well and I came home to a happy pup. Monica also hand-watered my plants and my starts were ready for planting when I got home :)
Monica was very nice and took great care of my house and dogs while I was away for the night. She sent e pictures and updated me regularly. I would definitely hire her again!!
Monica was terrific and my dogs immediately took to her. She is a very sweet person and obviously has a way with animals. My two dogs enjoyed their playtime with Monica in my orchard and even neighbor dogs came over to play when they witnessed all the fun!
I have been friends and colleagues with Monica for nearly a decade, she is trustworthy, thoughtful, and caring. She has watched my dog, Echo, on a number of occasions. Echo is high energy and has epilepsy- she requires medication throughout the day to manage her condition. Monica follows Echo's medication schedule closely, and Echo always comes home tired after playing with Monica's friendly dog, Phoenix. Echo adores Monica, and I know she's in good hands!
