I have a master's degree in Primate Conservation. I have been pet-sitting (cats and dogs) since 2016. I have also been working with primates in zoos, rescue and rehabilitation centers, and zoos since 2002! I'm experiences administering meds, food, and even intramuscular injections to all sorts of animals. I've also assisted in veterinary surgeries in Africa (but I'm not a veterinarian or a vet tech -- I've just worked in a lot of different settings with animals).

I will come to your home to provide services, such as walking, sitting, taking to play groups, or feeding. I am not able to host dogs in my home.

Monica was a fantastic sitter! It was our first time using rover so naturally we were nervous but Monica went above and beyond to ensure we had peace of mind. She provided excellent care (showed up on time, played with our cats, was vigilant of potential hazards) and made sure our cats were comfortable with her (as they are usually quite anxious). Monica is obviously a natural and well experienced with animals, I would 100% trust her to oversee my pets’ care again. Thank you so much for the 10/10 service🧡
Monica was awesome!!! She is super professional, attuned to animals, and communicative sending me great pictures and videos of my cat while I was away. My cat clearly loved her, expectantly waiting by the door at Monica's usual daily drop-in time even after I got back home :-) Monica accommodated my booking request on short notice and kept both my house and cat very well taken care of. I would highly recommend Monica and look forward to booking with her again!

Monica is a very kind and conscientious person who has a special understanding of all animals because of her intuitive nature, her many years employed in wildlife education, and ongoing study of primates. Monica has stayed in our home several times and been responsible for caring for our 3 large dogs - no small feat, and a blessing for our whole family!
Monica took care of my dog Libby for almost 5 months; taking her out for walks and to the bathroom throughout the day. Libby has a history of anxiety having come from an abusive home, which landed her in the animal shelter, so I was worried about how she would repsond to a new person. Monica has such a loving, warm, and gentle character that my dog warmed up to her immediately. I would highly recommend Monica to any dog owner.

Schedule
I teach ESL remotely during nights (my students are in China), so if I'm hired for pet sitting in your home, then I'll need wifi access. I'm also running a research project a few mornings a week.
