Schedule: I work remotely Monday-Friday, which means I'm home consistently and your pet gets real company throughout the day, not just a quick check-in. Caring for animals is my genuine passion, and I love being able to give pets the time and attention their people can't always spare during the day.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety: Your pet's safety is always my top priority. For dogs, leashes are non-negotiable on walks. No matter how friendly your pup is, I avoid any potential conflict with other animals unless you've specifically instructed otherwise. I also have experience with special needs and senior pets, so I'm comfortable following specific care routines, administering medications, and keeping a close eye on health-related behaviors. I also run my own small pet care business, Snootle, so this is something I take seriously year-round and not just a weekend gig.
Information Monica N. would like to know about your pet
All breeds welcome! What matters most to me is transparency and your pet's wellbeing above everything else. Before booking, please give me a heads up on any behavior quirks, food allergies, triggers, or commands your pet responds to. This helps me create a safe and comfortable experience for your pet and for me, and I promise it won't scare me off. Being upfront just means I can show up fully prepared! For new clients, I offer a complimentary in-person meet and greet, usually about 30 minutes. This is so we can make sure it's a great fit before we commit to a booking. I love this part because it gives your pet a chance to warm up to me on their own terms and for you to address any questions you may have about me. One thing I do ask is please disclose any security cameras in your home before the booking date. I'm completely supportive of them, I totally get wanting to check in on your pup/cat. I just need to know about them ahead of time. Undisclosed cameras are the one thing that may lead me to cancel a stay.
A typical day
Typical Day: Every pet has their own personality and I love figuring out what makes yours tick. For dogs, I'm big on mental stimulation. Lick mats, treat puzzles, snuffle mats, and Kong toys are all staples. On walks I let your pup set the tone first, some love to sniff and explore every inch of the trail, and I'm fully here for it. For the more energetic ones, a good game of fetch or some structured exercise is always on the agenda. For cats, I've found so much joy in engaging them with rattle balls, kicker toys, and a little catnip/silvernip never hurts. Every sitting looks a little different because every pet deserves care that actually fits them. At the end of the day, that's what makes it fun for both of us!

Pet care experience
Animals have always been at the center of my life. I've got 5+ years of hands on experience and a background that includes working at Roam N' Board kennel and pet hotel, volunteering at Apricot Vet so I'm comfortable with way more than just the basics. At home I have two cats of my own, including a senior special needs kitty, so I genuinely understand what it means to love your pets like family and take their individual care seriously. I'm especially comfortable with senior pets, medical needs, and animals that require extra attention and patience. I work remotely, which means I'm home consistently and your pet is never just sitting alone waiting for a check in. I'm also pretty active and outdoorsy, so if your pup has energy to burn, we'll put it to good use. I care for both dogs and cats and I treat every animal like my own. Looking forward to meeting your fur babies!

Reviews

Monica did a great job house sitting for us and taking care of our kitty Greyson who has stage 3 kidney disease. Due to his illness Greyson’s main diet is wet food and he needs to be fed several times a day with meds mixed in. This was not an issue for Monica. Under her care Greyson thrived. He looked healthy and happy. We so enjoyed the updates Monica sent to us every day. The photos and videos attached to the updates always made us smile, sometimes we laughed out loud by Greyson’s antics and expressions captured in them. She also cut Greyson’s nails for us, something we had trouble accomplishing on our own. Besides taking excellent care of Greyson, Monica kept the house in good order. She is a vey capable and compassionate pet sitter. We felt fortunate to have found her.

Always outstanding!

Monica was amazing from the beginning to the end! Super flexible and open to meeting when the schedule works best for both parties. She sent multiple photos and videos daily which was perfect when we were missing our bud. She even taught our old dog a new trick! Highly recommend her for anyone and would certainly reach out again to have her take care of our dog for us! Thank you!

Monica did a great join watching my two dogs, walking them, taking care of my house, and providing daily updates.
